The people who already understand Trump poses a threat to America are the only ones perceiving the danger. It's only dingbats and ignoramuses that still don't see the obvious menace Trump represents after the daily evidence we've had for the last seven years.

I sincerely hope you're right about there being another "Vasily Arkhipov" in the wings that can yet again block Putin from using the nuclear option. If anyone here hasn't yet googled the name to see what he did, please do so. His story is very interesting and inspiring.

Even the Russian people in Russia itself have a growing awareness of how irrational is Putin's euphemistically named "special military operation." I would guess that a large proportion of native Russian speakers in Ukraine would be even more aware of that than those still in Russia, because I doubt the Ukrainian government is cracking down on freedom of speech and of the press like Putin is in Russia. It is my understanding that a high proportion of native Russian speakers in Ukraine are as averse to the idea of living under a Putin dictatorship as any other Ukrainian. Surely many of them must realize that if Putin resorts to nuclear tactical weapons in Ukraine, they will almost certainly not escape all of the terrible consequences suffered by non-Russian Ukrainians. Many of them have already suffered as badly as their most unfortunate native Ukrainian counterparts.

Ukraine is not just content to retake their invaded lands but aims to topple the Putin regime by marching on Moscow if necessary. For this reason Nancy Pelosi has upgraded the classification of Russia to a terrorist state. I can't see Putin being toppled without firing back with nuclear weapons first.

Graham introduced a resolution all the way back in May to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, and received unanimous consent in July.
