Vice President Harris said POC will be prioritized over white people when it comes to hurricane relief. I can't believe a Woman of color actually uttered such a racist statement.
"And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place." How could the Vice President say such a racist statement? And how would it work? Does the government hand out money by looking at you and if your skin color is dark enough they give you a check? Will the white people have to wait outside until all the black people have received their checks?

The head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said that the administration will “support all communities” following a remark by Vice President Kamala Harris that “communities of color … are most impacted” by hurricanes.

Would it be
more racist to assume that a comment about
equity and that “not everyone starts out at the same place” refers solely to blacks? Why would your comment here be the conclusion that you end up with?
And how would it work? Does the government hand out money by looking at you and if your skin color is dark enough they give you a check? Will the white people have to wait outside until all the black people have received their checks?

You have to understand what she means by equity and why she wants equity but not equality. Equity means that any difference in economic outcome between different races can only be due to systemic and individual racism. Equity means that the government seeks not only to provide equality of opportunity but equality of result.

At the President’s direction, dozens of Coast Guard helicopters and rescue boats were pre-deployed to support search and rescue operations, and the Department of Defense readied additional helicopters, highwater vehicles, high water ladders and other materiel to support rescue operations. Up to 16 Coast Guard aircraft flew near continuously since daybreak yesterday, rescuing over 80 people along the southwest Florida coast, including both rooftop and inland rescues.
No word yet if Biden left the “White’s” on their rooftops.
