(My apologies for the massive derail. I have self-control issues when it comes to geeking about my latest interests.)
Feel free to geek out. Knowing all about processors and video cards is also something my youngest son is into and he is my biggest help when it comes to allowing me to successfully save both Earth and Tamriel in computer games. I was a crazy fool who walked into imminent dearh by working through Covid without a mask. Now I'm a crazy fool for betting against democratic socialisms effect on the stock market and the sollar. I like my chances.
Two things.

First, it really, REALLY would be helpful if you engaged topics as presented rather than tilting at rightwing headline windmills.

Second, it seems you don't have a functional risk assessment matrix. The paragraph above is almost entirely an expression of bad risk assessments.
I want to circle back around to Honor’s post. Xanax has been repeatedly asked to:

1) actually read the threads and information presented to him which he refuses to do*

and

2) stop making up insane Conservative straw man arguments

and

3) stay on topic instead of immediately spin off into bananapantsland when proven wrong.

For the longest time I thought he was just trolling, but about six years ago I realized he was actually literally retarded. So. You know. If you think I’m being harsh, just a friendly reminder that this blockhead is about to cash out his retirement and buy metal.

And he votes. -_-

* it’s incredibly disrespectful to the people who took the time to compose well-reasoned and well-sourced posts, especially over the course of the pandemic, explaining the ins and outs of Covid-19, the risks associated for at-risk people, and what we could do to save lives. No one, not one time, claimed anyone within normal age ranges and within normal health parameters was at risk of imminent death. And yet, this jackass just blithely makes jokes and feels aggrieved that he was asked as a citizen to protect the weaker among us. “F” him.

I haven't asked you to read my posts. Put me on ignore. You haven't typed anything I deem worth reading either. You're a waste of time.
And he votes. -_-
Now let's bet back on topic. Generation Z voted 2 times more for Democrats than millenials did when they were under 30. That's the reason a dog or a disabled democratic socialist trust fund baby who can't even speak anymore will beat any Republican (including NeverTrump RINOS) every time.
this blockhead is about to cash out his retirement and buy metal.
I already did. I'm sure you'll be happy to increase my SSI/Disability payouts if things don't work out for me, given how empathetic you are to mentally challenged people with special needs like myself. It looks like the market has finally recovered from "Trump's recession," and has nowhere to go but up now that we have indefinite democratic socialist rule. Why don't you go out and buy some stock in green energy?
The best part about this is waiting four years to see how all the crazy apocalyptic predictions made by the fear mongering idiots in Right Wing media turned out to be painfully wrong...Gasoline would hit $10/gallon. Hyperinflation would ensue.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

More votes are about to be released in Nevada in a crucial Senate race where the incumbent Democrat is losing by just 1,984 votes. This was supposed to be a gimme flip for the Republicans but if the Dems can hold onto this Senate seat along with Arizona, then the run-off election in Georgia becomes somewhat irrelevant. The race in Arizona shows the Democrat widening the gap with a lead of 5 percentage points.

HF shitballs, the Dems actually have a chance to keep control of the House! I'm not saying it is going to happen, but right now they're at 202, and need 218. A guy on CNN went through the map and pointed out that there are two races where Democrats are leading by wide margins so let's go ahead and assume they win those. He then said there are 8 other races where Democrats have healthy leads, and if things hold up there, then that puts the Democrats at 212. But then he points out that in Alaska and Maine they have Right Choice voting and Democrats are also ahead there. That puts the Dems at 214, which is just four shy of what's needed. He then points out there are six other races where the Dems are behind but within striking distance and there are really only four races where Republicans have huge leads.

I don't think it would happen, but could you imagine the ensuing implosion on the Right if the Democrats take the House and then the Senate with 51 Senators? Not only would this be the ultimate indictment of MAGA movement and the GOP as a whole, it would also give Biden the power to pass pretty much anything he wants over the rest of his tenure.

Too much to hope for, in my opinion. But just the fact that the much vaunted red wave was a ripple is sufficiently good news. And, as much as I don’t like him, Ron DeSantis’ big victory has people talking about the end of Trump. That can’t come too soon.

I'm not so sure DeSantis is much better, but at least he doesn't come off as a completely incompetent and whiney baby.

I certainly agree that the end of Trump can't come soon enough. I've never been so disgusted by a human being in my life. He's the biggest piece of crap I'm aware of living in my lifetime.

Unsurprisingly Sir Orange Dickblossom of the Flaxen Weave is ramping up his stop-the-vote rhetoric again. This is after Republican-held states have literally been engaged in voter suppression in its various forms as discussed in detail.

I don’t like DeSantis. I think he’s a scumbag. But, he’s neither as crazy nor as stupid as Trump. His Trumpiness in the past was probably largely a performance to get ahead.
