To wit, this meme seems apt and makes perfect sense given today's GOP and their affinity for proclaiming Jesus as their Savior while at the same time expressing their unbridled hatred for people over politics.

I believe the number one cause of dishonesty is religion.

To me, someone having a religion is the biggest warning sign that dealing with that person is a bad idea. It's so rare to have a positive experience with a person who professes their religion that when it happens, I suspect they are not that serious about their faith, or that they're decent despite their religion.

The biggest problem with religion is that people believe it. The more they believe it, the worse it is for everyone else.
