He will forever be a blot on American history.>
Have you seen Trump's new campaign ad attacking DeSantis for voting to get rid of social security. You might want to take that back, register Republican, and vote for Trump in the primary.
Wishful thinking.
Indeed it is. Tyranny is far more common then freedom in the human condition. And yet my ancestors managed to pull it off with only 40% of men actually fighting on the side of the rebel colonists.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

It's possible that liberal New Yorkers on the jury do the right thing. They still have free will. But Satan has such hold upon the left of this country …
Ajax,

Are you aware Kirton McConkie used to be called Kirton, McConkie, and Poelman? Do you want to know why it isn’t called Kirton, McConkie, and Poelman any more?

Also, you voted for an absolute trash bag of a human being who screwed prostitutes, cheated on his wife, stiffed people, hired illegals, and got his son-in-law $2B from radical islamists. Goddamn, man.

Since Ajax is an incurious gasbag I’ll go ahead and educate him.

It’s because this faithful Mormon Stake President paid a woman $30 to suck his dick. In his car. In public.

He was kept on as the Mormon Church's chosen advocate for sexually abused children. In a stake conference held soon after the incident, Poelman was permitted to speak, and address the youth.

Think about that Ajax. Think about how often he paid women to suck his dick in public. He was so used to getting his dick sucked in public he was busted by a cop who happened to see him getting his dick sucked in public by a prostitute.

This happens all the time in your church and in your political party. Dudes, Mormon and Republican dudes, are fuckin’ around with all sorts of stuff. With adultery. Swinging. Kid fuckin’. Porn. I don’t think you honestly get it. They’re doing it at the highest levels of church and political orgs. There’s a video of Rudy Giuliani meeting a young woman in his hotel room, and the first thing he does is flop on the bed and unzips his pants. He so used to damned around the first thing he does when the door closes is to flop and drop.

‘Satan’ has a grip, alright. Your morals and values are so skewed you can’t see how bananas your church and your political party is. You live in la la land, buddy. And worse, you support these people. These grifters and liars. You give them money, and you shill for them. ‘Satan’ has a grip, alright. He’s got a tight hold on your short hairs, and you’re like, “Yes, daddy. More. I need to be abused more.”

Crazy.

Hugh Nibley claimed he bumped into Adolf Hitler, Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Gertrude Stein, and the Grand Duke Vladimir Romanoff. Dishonesty is baked into Mormonism.

The Republicans' accusation that the indictment was only politically motivated seems rather hollow and hypocritical considering the fact that: ‘It Was Trump’s Own Justice Department That Called This a Crime’: Katyal Responds to Republican Freakout Over Trump Indictment
Katyal noted that Cohen went to prison after pleading guilty to federal crimes in 2018 – during the Trump administration – to tax evasion and campaign violations stemming from the payment to Daniels and another woman:

Now, the important thing about that – because Trump and all these people are accusing the indictment tonight of being political. The U.S. Justice Department looked at precisely this set of circumstances: the payoffs to this person, the hush money, the like. And it concluded it was a federal crime, such a severe crime that it sent a person to jail, Michael Cohen, who was Trump’s lawyer.

And when the U.S. Justice Department sent Michael Cohen to jail, it said Cohen acted not on his own. It’s not like he came up with his plot on his own. It said that Cohen acted at the direction of Donald Trump, that Trump ordered him to do it.

Now, that was what they called a crime. The U.S. Justice Department then – and Cohen went to jail for – that was not the Merrick Garland Justice Department. It was not the Barack Obama Justice Department. It was the Donald Trump Justice Department that made that filing. So, every time you hear this thing about, “Oh, this hush money thing is political” and the like, remember it was Trump’s own Justice Department that called this crime back in 2018.
Is that so hard to understand? If even Trump's Justice Department judged what Cohen did a crime, it is the height of absurdity to then turn around and exonerate the man who ordered him to commit the crime! Isn't it?

The Republicans who are so eager to protect Trump from the legal and just consequences of his crimes are either craven cowards who have let themselves be intimidated by Trump and his brainless sycophants, or they are active and eager participants in Trump's grift!

Question for the legal experts among us: Now that Trump has been acquitted in 2 impeachment trials, one for his alleged quid pro quo extortion attempt against Ukraine's President Zelensky and the other for attempted insurrection of Jan 6 2001, does he qualify for immunity from indictment for attempting to blackmail Zelensky and inciting the insurrection under the double jeopardy clause of the Constitution?

A criminal conviction will boost Trump's popularity to overwhelming levels for Republicans.

Bragg: "If elected I will charge and convict Donald Trump."

Liberals: This case was not motivated by politics. Everyone has a right to a fair trial to prove your innocence.
That can just as easily be a statement conveying that he won’t cower to Trump and Trump’s base, like so many other seemingly spineless political critters have done.

Cowering to Trump, and refusing to hold him accountable, is as ‘motivated by politics’ as anything else.
Thank you for replying. This does help me understand the liberal perspective better. I don't share your perspective but I think I understand you a little better than I did before.

You wouldn’t be the first person to claim that I’m a godless liberal for not cowering to Trump, nor sucking down all of his BS without question. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don’t think so. Double jeopardy applies only to criminal trials.

Yeah I don't believe the brethren are whoremongers. That's another case of every accusation is a confession. Trump could be a heathen whoremonger but he's no worse than any other establishment politician. That's the thing about Trump, he's always been willing to get down and fight dirty even before he got into politics. He was no saint and he did lie with the pigs in the past. But as Doc has demonstrated here, a sleazy Chicago campaign attack dog, can carry out a successful character assassination on even the best of men, in fact even upon Christ Himself.

I think this phony trial and conviction against Trump could be the best thing for us. I want a President who is willing to abolish socialist security and refuse to bar me from work and earning a living indefinitely for a disease that has a 99.96% survival rate in people under 70. And now we have a man willing to do it that I think just got a lot more likely to win the Republican nomination.
