Gunnar let's be honest

Post by Jersey Girl »

It's going to take a flame thrower to light all the candles on your cake this year.

Happy Birthday my dear old friend of 24 years!

And I mean old.
Like really, really, old.
Older than old.
Older than dirt.
Older than the dirt under the dirt.
Possibly older than the actual core of the Earth.

Which we all know is flat.

I love you man,

Happy Birthday, Gunnar. I wish you many more happy trips around the sun.

Hugh Nibley claimed he bumped into Adolf Hitler, Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Gertrude Stein, and the Grand Duke Vladimir Romanoff. Dishonesty is baked into Mormonism.

Get a room.

I mean... Happy birthday, Gunnar!
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

Congratulations to: Gunnar (80)
Another anomaly is, The Wicker Man mentioned Moses’ 80th birthday. 8-)

Spy posted about it earlier today. ;)

Once upon a time: My cousin and genetic half-sister and I baked a cake, with 80 candles, for a 40th birthday party. 👯‍♀️

Where you at, man. That must've been some party. Did you go to Germany to visit the family? Too much liquid therapy?

Wait. Ya burned the house down with the flame thrower, didn't ya! 8-)

Thanks for all the birthday greetings, everyone. I'm sorry I missed seeing this thread until now. I have been preoccupied with other things lately. One of the funniest birthday greetings I ever got was from one of my daughters. She sent me a multi-page birthday card with a cute little dog on the front page, with a caption that said, "my dog is going to tap out your age with his paws." It went on for page after page showing the dog tap, tap, tapping, and apparently getting more and more tired, until the last page showing the dog lying belly up and motionless, with the angry caption "You killed my dog!"
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
