Trump is an overgrown Toddler

Post by Vēritās »

Turns out Kevin McCarthy visited Mara Lago after the January 6th insurrection because the poor little orange tyrant was going through a major depression after Sleepy Joe kicked his arse. McCarthy said he had to go down there because everyone was worried about Trump refusing to eat.

He probably resolved that issue by showing up with a bucket of fried chicken and a few big macs.

Yes, heaven forbid he lose 100 lbs. and not look so damned disgusting. The GOP needs their leaders to be obnoxious slobs.

I was talking to a "conservative" lately who lamented that if you give people a handout, they'll start to rely on those handouts. I guess that only applies to the poor, and not to the hoarding, spoiled rich "F"s.

Of course Trump is a toddler. He's never taken responsibility for anything. He only steals credit.

Schmo, has your friend taken the NRSC census?

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=158267

You should ask your friend if those people getting used to handouts would be legitimized if they first asked people questions such as their gender, place of employment, who thy think the economy did better under and so on...

Truly, you deserve an answer from your friend, from Ajax, and from any Republican who complains about people asking for handouts.

Tell your friend to hurry, Dec. 2 is coming up.

I'm not sure if he's a political contributor or if he's ever donated to Trump's campaign. He claimed he doesn't like Trump or Biden ("I don't like any of them" i. e. politicians generally). My sense is that he voted for Trump because he ran as a Republican and this guy mindlessly votes R.

I wouldn't call him a friend. He's the husband of my wife's friend, and we all went to dinner once. I was disappointed in much of what he had to say. He's the guy who told me "I have studied this, and life begins at conception." He basically lost all credibility with me in that moment. Did he think that claiming he studied it gave his conclusion more weight? damned dumb. I told him I didn't want the government controlling me, my wife, my daughter or anyone else when it comes to medical decisions. He asked me if I got vaccinated (like this was a killer argument for his side, not really understanding that his vaccine view was in the same ballpark as pro-choice), and I told him I did because I chose to, not because I was forced to. I didn't bother going into how walking around with COVID is a health risk for everyone you come in contact with, as opposed to a pregnancy that only affects the woman's family and that vaccine mandates for certain people were reasonable, mostly because it didn't seem like this guy was into nuance.

Hmm. Sounds like a fairly unhinged Trump supporter, especially given the other information you provided about his "research".

I haven't found many open Trump supporters, at least not straightforward, TB Trump supporters. A couple co-workers from a previous job were open about it, but they were trolls and liked to agitate people, and that was pre-2016. The QAnon guy I spoke of here a few times is the only person I can think of who has supported Trump in earnest during a conversation. Even my right-wing friend says the same thing, that he doesn't like Trump. Not even Ajax really pulls for Trump in the typical way you'd expect. Even my left-wing friend's QAnon neighbor bashes Trump now.

The more common theme for the right-wingers I know is their outrage against Democrats. They hate Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, California, socialism, and are avidly against aborting babies 24 days after birth; a core belief of liberals, than they necessarily love Trump. The usual Trump pitch I get is Trump the plumber with bad manners who gets the job done. But...they do like Trump. A lot. I don't know why they are so coy about it, when they can say so much other ridiculous stuff. The only guess I have is they really do believe the other stuff, while Trump is more of a middle finger.

Yeah, I can't recall anyone telling me how much they loved/admired/respected Trump after he was elected. I remember friends talking him up during the run up to the 2016 election, but that was before it was widely known what a complete incompetent he was.

I agree with a lot of what you said. I think they're coy about loving Trump in the same way one might hide dropping a potato chip on the floor and hope nobody notices them picking it up and eating it. They understand culturally they should dislike him, but their secret shame is that they like him in all his despicable glory.

And yeah, I think they justify it to themselves because they've worked themselves up into a lather over fake, half-true, and misplaced concerns about Democrats.

I don’t think Trump will be considered; if he does represent the Republicans, something is really wrong, worse than mail in ballots. I’m a Ron DeSantis or Nikki Halley voter. I think either one would do great.
