Rawhide is an American Western television series starring Eric Fleming and Clint Eastwood. The show aired for eight seasons on the CBS network on Friday nights from January 9, 1959[1] to September 3, 1965 before moving to Tuesday nights from September 14, 1965 until December 7, 1965, with a total of 217 black-and-white episodes. The series was produced and sometimes directed by Charles Marquis Warren, who also produced early episodes of Gunsmoke.

Wagon Train debuted on September 18, 1957 and reached the top of the Nielsen ratings. It is the fictional adventure story of a large westbound wagon train through the American frontier from Missouri to California. I was sad when Wagon Train ended after being savagely attacked outside of Cedar City.

Yes, that was a sad episode.

Although, the prior episode was simply heartbreaking. A wagon train that was running low on supplies entered Utah Territory and tried to trade with the local Mormons. All the Mormons would trade was fry sauce, funeral potatoes, Lion House rolls, Diet Coke and green jello. The episode ended with an aged Brigham Young being informed that many in the wagon train developed obesity, type 2 diabetes and colon cancer from the unhealthy food the Mormons introduced them to. Brigham slowly looked into the camera and said, "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord, but I have taken a little."

Just heartbreaking.
