A documentary movie that was recently released called "Am I Racist?"

I have not seen the movie, but I am considering it. A few people who have seen it tell me it's a must see and a few others tell me it was garbage - I suspect that this is largely due to political ideologies, but I can't say for sure.

Anyway, I was curious if any of you have seen it? If you have seen it, what did you think about it?

I hadn't heard of it, so I looked it up. Apparently, it's Matt Walsh doing satirical comedy.

I've read some of Walsh's stuff, and one thing I noticed is he seems to have difficulty accurately grasping (or, at least, representing) the positions he argues against. Maybe I've just been unlucky in my selection of Walsh's material, but it doesn't make me hopeful that he can pull off decent satire.

Of course, I could be all wet.

It's a must see. I wouldn't take a hard corp leftist friend to see it. But I think it's something good for independent and centrist minded democrats to see so that they can learn in the far left's own words what this race hustle is all about without having to pay some DEI instructor $10k to come to dinner and tell you that you're a racist all eveening, similar to how Kamala Harris played the race card on Joe Biden during the Democratic primary debates in 2019. And it's light hearted and downright funny. Instead of just walking away disgusted at how brainwashed people have become, the element of humor makes it worth the $20.

No I didn't.. Robin D'Angelo got $15k for an interview where she pulls money out of her wallet to give to a mulatto man. I believe the two women of color in the preview were paid $10k by each old white lady to be told "This country is a piece of crap. This country is not worth saving etc etc over some fine dining. I'm going to watch it as soon as the theatres reopen.

So, you’re going to pay $20 to watch rage bait. Seems on message for you. Just one thing, what makes you think you aren’t the mark right now?

I'm confused - Upthread, you said it was a must see. You haven't seen the movie yet?

Anyway. I asked my bride if she wanted to go see it (She almost always picks the movie when we go) - Well, her response leads me to believe that I have two chances, slim and none. Perhaps, sometime down the road, it will be available on other platforms.
