I applaud you for having less of a YouTube life than I do Canpakes, or maybe you're seeing something I don't. But a few months ago, I started getting these weird video recommendations that look a lot like this one, that I came to realize were actual A.I. creations. The video itself. In other words, the A.I. scrapes stock footage and puts it together along with the narration. Most of the ones that come my way are science videos.

Oh, I haven’t clicked on Ceeb’s vid link. I was referring to the short clip of Roseanne Barr ranting on Tucker’s stage a few days ago.

It seems to be riffing on RFK Jr's decision to use images of his father and uncle in that infamous ad that threw the rest of the Kennedys into a rage. A not so subtle appeal to the myth of the "good old days." It is definitely the kind of ersatz nostalgia trip that may appeal to Boomers.

I have lived in red states for most of the time Trump has plagued our politics, and it's true that most Trump supporters I've met are decent people. That doesn't make their political decisions valid, nor does it mean their political analysis is solid. I've been saying for years that the most likely explanation for Trump's popularity is ignorance/misinformation.

My wife and I were staying with a friend of ours recently who we knew voted for Trump in 2016 but then realized what a crap head he was and voted Biden in 2020. The topic of Harris came up, and this normally sweet, kind lady started spewing the most vile crap about the VP with such irrational vitriol, my wife and I were both shocked and disturbed by it (Harris Derangement Syndrome?) It's like we met this woman's dissociative personality for the first time in a trip to an asylum.

The MAGAtes can be very nice, decent people, right up until their mind is infected with right-wing rage and BS and they turn into irrational alarmists.

I had the same thought. Her stated reason to vote for Trump this time was "for my taxes."

No, she's not rich. She does have an abundance of bad ideas, however. I both laughed and died a little inside when I heard that. I told a friend about it and all he could say was, "Holy “F”."
