Trump Dementia Alerts
In this thread, I invite others to hang examples of Trump’s dementia getting worse. For example, yesterday he went on an extended riff about the movie “Full Metal Jacket,” and falsely claimed Harris raised taxes as the San Francisco DA, which is not a power of that office.
In the same speech he randomly inserted non sequiturs such as “a million Rambos” “Turnarounds” and “gotaways” and “dead-head spending.” He mixed up Iran with North Korea and couldn’t pronounce United Arab Emirates. He seemed flummoxed as to why Hurricane Helene ‘had come so late in the storm season’, but as we know Hurricane season runs through November. He also claimed “government agencies can’t name the U.S. population”, whatever the “F” that means, and he compared the conflict between Israel and Iran to “two kids fighting in the schoolyard.” Really?
We need to stop sane-washing the utterly absurd thing this man is saying. He’s not fit for office.

What's an app?

I don't know if this is dementia or just an utter lack of technological knowledge.

I'll admit that I'm not convinced he has dementia. He might, I'm not saying he doesn't, but kind of like we're talking about elsewhere, with media figures continually needing to say more shocking things to get attention, it's the same for him.
When it comes to MAGA, and those on the verge of being MAGA, or those who have a vested interest in watching MAGA become more extreme to fulfill their own short-term goals, the greater the nonsense, the greater the appeal. Even back in 2016, my Trump-supporter associates at work would high five when Trump would say something totally out there that made no sense. "Pure genius!" to the degree that it was completely stupid.
Even without Dementia, there is a slippery slope here, as one could get lazy and sloppy, knowing that incoherence is the appeal. He's embraced this character for so long that he may not be able to form a rational thought.
Again, we can put this on the Trump supporters themselves, and their raw appetite for complete stupidity.

Actually, I think this sane-washing ought to be stopped on both sides - Like the utter absurdity of Harris supporting illegal immigrants having their transition surgeries funded by the US taxpayers.
CNN’s Erin Burnett shocked that Kamala Harris backed taxpayer-funded gender surgery for migrants:

Well, he’s definitely a sociopath. The regular slurring of words coupled with something called phonemic paraphasia, where he swaps out words or syllables when attempting to say a particular thing, is for me the biggest tell. In fact, he probably has aphasia, since he can’t read for crap, hence he has to riff all the time. The other thing that stands out foe me is how he regularly loses touch with reality. Whether or not that’s a result of lying so much or mental decline is essentially one and the same for me.Gadianton wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 2:04 pmI'll admit that I'm not convinced he has dementia. Re: Trump Dementia Alerts
It's hard to say Trump is deteriorating because of dementia because he's always sounded like a lunatic.
His idiot fans love him because he speaks fluent idiot. They can relate to child-level logic. That's it. Was it dementia when he implied he wanted to “F” his daughter 20+ years ago? Was it dementia when he said all the idiotic things about where Obama was born? Was it dementia when he said Mexico was sending rapists and would pay for a border wall? We all know I could go on and on with his history of saying idiotic things, because he has a long history of saying idiotic things.
I will say, however, that he slurs his speech regularly these days. He can't pronounce several words.

Absolutely. No question there at all.Well, he’s definitely a sociopath.
He could have dementia, I'm not saying he doesn't, I'm just taking the Bayesian approach where you have to consider alt hypothesis and in a party where incoherent extremist speech scores points, it's hard for me to say.
The better evidence as you say may be in the details, screwing up words etc. Get past the messaging and look at the mechanics.

Yeah, that is pretty out there, and it is absolutely true that she held such a position. The extremes of gender politics are something the Left remains blind to, and I think that people on the Right are absolutely justified in seeing this as kinda kooky.
To be clear, if a person believes they are another gender, and they want to get operations to live out that identity more fully, I support their right to do so 100%, and I will gladly treat them as they want to be treated, but public funding of the transition surgeries of non-citizens who come to this country should be a very low priority, if it even qualifies as one.

I absolutely love when I find common ground with you, Kish.
Since you were willing to post what you did, I want to offer you something in return: I think Trump says many things that are very divisive and mean - One example (I could give you many) is when he recently tweeted that he "hated" Oprah. Now, as someone who isn't a huge Oprah fan, I thought that was really uncalled for and mean. In addition, to have such a thing come from the President (past, current of running) makes it far worse in my opinion.
There.
Not challenging you - just asking: Does age matter or is this your position period? To be clear, if a person believes they are another gender, and they want to get operations to live out that identity more fully, I support their right to do so 100%
