The Misery Index

Anybody remember the Misery Index? It’s what you get by adding the inflation and unemployment rates together. It was used as a measure of stagflation, and Relief Society hammered Carter over it in the 1980 election.
Relief Society don’t talk about it now because it undermines Trump’s Big Lie that the economy is a disaster. Here’s a chart:
Second lowest. The lowest was 2016. The Trump presidency increased the misery. Biden’s knocked it down.
Why would anyone vote for the guy that lies to your face about everything, from claiming his crowd sizes are twice the capacity of the places where he speaks, to the state of the economy?
