Exit poll data from CNN and other news outlets reported that 72% of white Protestants and 61% of white Catholics said they voted for Trump. Among white voters, 81% of those identified as born again or evangelical supported Trump, up from 76% in 2020 and similar to the 80% of support he received in 2016.

Hardly surprising. If you're can make up a god out of whole cloth, making Trump seem palatable is a cakewalk by comparison. That kind of brain is in no way constrained by data, experience, or rational thought.

And because Trump is corrupt, he will reward the Religious Right by giving them anything them ask, just like he did during his first term. US embassy to Jerusalem you ask? Done. Unqualified religious judges to be appointed? Done.

Trump lost ground with white voters; however, he made significant gains with young men and Mexican men. Had young men and Mexicans voted as they did in 2016, Harris would have won.

I don't think the economy was the cause of the shift; rather, it was correlated. A lot of men are clearly unhappy with their lives, don't socialize with many women, and feel invisible.

It's just a messaging issue. Democrat policies were working great. People just couldn't appreciate how wonderful it was. They had that problem in Venezuela and Cuba too. But with proper messaging these people are now learning to appreciate the great society created by democratic socialism and censorship against misinformation. It has also saved the planet from global warming.

In related news, the Chief Executive at ExxonMobil in a call the other day rebuked Trump's petulant and erratic anti-science policy plans for the environment, and warned that they will be detrimental to the US economy, and our ability to compete globally, in the long run.

Wild when even the American big oil executives think your anti-science agenda is too extremist.
