Question for Res Ipsa or any other legal professional among us
If a law prohibiting any convicted felon from running for President were duly passed and signed into law, is there any reasonable possibility that a Conservative dominated Supreme Court might find that it somehow violated our constitution, should a challenge to it reach the Supreme Court for adjudication?
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
