85.2%
Across the nation, 85.2% of counties cast their votes in favor of Trump. Asian Americans have moved 6% towards the conservative movement. Kamala did not perform as well with black voters in comparison to Biden, which enabled Trump to increase his support within the black community. Nassau County, located in New York, which has not supported a Republican candidate since 1988, turned red in 2024. It appears that nearly all statistics are showing negative trends, so what strategies can we employ to address this concerning situation? What is the initial action that Democrats should take to regain the trust of American voters?

Re: 85.2%
It's just a messaging issue. Bidenomics was actually a huge success. It's just that people don't realize how great it was because of right wing propaganda. The first step is gain and exert more control of information and social media by setting up a ministry of truth. We need to outlaw ownership of social media companies by conservatives in order to silence dissent from democratic socialist talking points. A good rule of thumb if you hear an argument from someone that might suggest that socialism isn't improving their economic situation is to personally attack and attempt to shame them with words like selfish, racist, bigot, or sexist. If they point out that throwing money at green energy solutions isn't actually helping the environment but rather just making everything more expensive for consumers, again just say they want dirty, air, water, and oil spills. Then once you regain power, you can go back to throwing money away on green energy technologies that ultimately do nothing to decrease our carbon footprint. If you sense they have concerns about unlimited immigration combined with an unsustainably expensive welfare state and a $35 trillion national debt, don't waste time trying to argue based on facts, just try to brand them as a racist and hopefully get them cancelled and censored before the facts start to resonate.
If anything this election has proven that you can't really trust people to vote the way that they should. That's why instead having a real democracy, we need a uniparty that will appoint and cede all real power to unelected administrative state bureaucrats. The people need to retain the illusion that their vote matters, but ultimately real authority and power should belong to a few wealthy members of the uniparty who are willing to put the interests of citizens of the world ahead of US citizens. Of course you can't win a democratic election with this kind of a platform. So if anyone challenges uniparty control then go after them with justice department. First you need to bankrupt them and then lock them up and throw away the key. Find any piece of dirt you can even if it's decades old and use that to bring charges against whoever steps out of line and threatens to put America first. Teach the children in compulsory public education and reeducation camps that the America First movement is equal to Naziism. Find ways to manipulate the vote counts. Send out armies of ballot harvesters to every group home and nursing home in site. Find ways to get out the undocumented immigrant vote complete with ballots in spanish and interpreters for those that can't read or write in spanish or english. And when all else fails, keep up the drumbeat of RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRacism!!

And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Trump flipped 54 blue counties to red, whereas Harris did not flip any red counties to blue. That statistic is significant; it's a fact that should prompt the Democrat party to reflect on what went wrong and begin strategizing on the necessary actions to take from today as they move toward 2026. If a presidential candidate is unable to sway even a single county, it indicates a significant issue with the message they are presenting to the electorate.

Re: 85.2%
This is easily demonstrated by the fact that consumer spending has skyrocketed under Biden/Harris and continues to do so. A record number of Americans decided to travel outside the country in 2022, and that figure was bested in 2023 while expected to be broken again in 2024. And record number, 80 million Americans planning to travel during the holidays.
The best way to know the pulse of an economy is consumer spending. If you're poor, then why are you on this cruise ship? If you're really struggling to buy eggs, then why did you just buy a Cybertruck? The BS is very easy to sift through when it is so out in the open. People can hide their bank account balance and lie about it, but they have a much more difficult time hiding their luxurious lifestyle.
Literally, in ANY economy, enough propaganda can be successful to convince people that they're not doing as well as they are. Right Wing propaganda understands that perception can be reality in the world of politics, and that's their job as propagandists, to shape perception to steer voters their way. I was on a cruise last year and couldn't stop laughing at some of the people whining about "Bidenomics." Three of them had never been on a cruise before! I remember just a few months after Biden took office someone at the gas station was complaining about gas prices and blaming Biden. Of course, it wasn't because this redneck in his $90,000 truck was educated in economics. No, that's not what shaped his opinion on this matter. It was Right Wing propaganda telling him that things are always bad unless their guy with an (R) after his name wins an election.
You can mock Bidenomics all you want, but the data is immune to all your lies, innuendo and bluster. Biden oversaw the greatest economic expansion since the 50's. More jobs created than any President in history. Wage growth skyrocketed, the likes we haven't seen in our lifetime. Many economic promises Trump broke, Biden actually fulfilled. And while many expected a recession and people like you were rooting for one, Biden's legislative accomplishments prevented that from happening.

That would definitely take us back to the 18th century.

I think there needs to be a rethinking of how the democrats view and push ideas about how racial groups vote. Racism isn't as bad as the democrats want everyone to believe. I have many hispanic friends that voted for Trump for the same reasons that other Maga supporters did. They definitely don't like the hyper focus on sexual issues that the democrats pushed and they want a strong economy. Trump with his push toward masculine themes like going to the MMA fights and appearing on Joe Rogan and like podcasts is something perhaps the democrats should look into.
Then there are the populist issues like being antiwar and focusing on the United States instead of the rest of the world. I think people see the uniparty aspects to our foreign policy and disagree with it. There seems to be a continuing corruption in how we conduct these endless wars, laundering tax dollars through these wars and into the pockets of the donor class.
Perhaps the democrats need to throw off the mega donors and return to being the party of the people to counter the populism on the right. They also need to stop with the name-calling and the censorship. That just turns people off. People want to see what they are prohibited from seeing and so the prohibited becomes popular. Perhaps tackle the perceived bad maga terrorist speech with corrective speech? Stop with the exaggerations and finger-pointing and self-righteousness.

There’s a great discussion about data representation (and misrepresentation) at the following link:

If asking, “what strategies can we employ to address this concerning situation?”, then one of the best options would be a better-educated population, be it about how voting works, or grocery prices, or anything in between.

The divide between rural and urban citizens is a worldwide issue. In the times when most national constitutions were established, most citizens were rural farmers, but now most humans live in cities. Cities still need food from rural farms, though.
So, in effect, land does vote. Rural voters are over-represented in most democracies, because revision of historical district divisions has failed to keep up with urbanisation, partly out of political inertia but partly also, I suspect, from the shrewdness that humans exhibit about life-and-death issues like food supply.
It's the new Cain and Abel.
