I don't think the intent of the Constitution was to say, if you break into the country illegally but to give birth to a child while you're here then you can never be deported for any reason ever.
We can argue over intent all day long. What does the Constitution actually say, though? Certainly there was an opportunity to address this same concern back when the 14th Amendment was proposed, given the history of immigration laws up to that point.
Also, note that we’re talking about the person born here, not their parents.
Do you agree with Trump that those children should be deported regardless of being citizens?

I don't think anchor babies should be granted US citizenship. That's not merit based immigration. That's saying, "Come in illegally and have your baby at the American taxpayers expense under universal healthcare and your whole family gets citizenship and a check from the American taxpayer for the next 18 years as a reward for disrespecting and ignoring our democratically established laws! How is that not a threat to democracy? It's certainly not fair to people who are waiting and paying $10k worth in immigration and naturalization costs to come into the country legally. Do you believe that American voters have the right to put any restrictions on immigration?
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

You’re applying conditions not present at the time of the enactment of the 14 Amendment to deny the 14th Amendment. Including some conditions that don’t even exist, like universal healthcare.
Regarding the remark about someone paying $10K for citizenship… if that happens, are you saying that this instantly makes them better people and incapable of requiring services? If that’s all that it takes - and $10K evens the debt out - then it would seem that your complaints about illegal immigrants are based on a pretty petty value spread over one lifetime.
You’ve probably received more credits back in home loan interest deductions over the past few years, for which the lost revenue must then be evened out by others not taking the deduction ... or by renters like those illegal folks. ; )
In any event, I’ll mark you down for kicking out the citizen kids. At least you were able to post a response to the question. I respect that.
Ajax, what if they contracted to pay 10% of all their gross income to the LDS Church as a buy-in for citizenship?
After much fasting and prayer and consultation with Ensign Peak personnel, the brethren reenacted the "come to zion" program, looking to make SLC a sanctuary city.
ETA: word has it that the brethren foresee (prophesy) a need for labor in their new construction concerns in Florida and other venues.
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

Did this really happen, or are you being facetious?
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I like to riff on what the penguin says at times.
