Trump Campaign Promises 2025

Post by Jersey Girl »

Reading some of the threads here. We need this list and the attached link. There's MORE information at the link so don't ignore that. If you want to talk about it, fine. There's really nothing to talk about. It's simply a list.

Keep this. Study this. Refer to it. There'll be a test.

At the end of the term. 8-)
President-elect Donald Trump’s transition is in the final stretch, with less than a month to go before he is sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. CNN has been tracking the promises he made for a second term throughout the year on the campaign trail.

In recent months, Trump and his team have specifically mentioned the policies that he would enact on
Day One — Inauguration Day is January 20, 2025 — of his presidency
. They include:

Close the US-Mexico border

Begin what Trump says will be “the largest deportation program in American history”

Expedite permits for drilling and fracking

Roll back environmental regulations

Pardon people convicted of crimes related to the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the US Capitol

Sign an executive order that would cut federal funding for any school “pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity and other inappropriate racial, sexual or political content onto the lives of our children.”

Roll back President Joe Biden’s electric vehicle policies

Enact tariffs on goods coming in from Mexico, Canada and China

Your link doesn't work.

What will it take for Trump's supporters to realize how badly they have been utterly bamboozled by him?

Works on my end. Could you try that again, please? It's a link to CNN.

Nope. It still does not work for me.

Thanks, Jersey Girl. I found the article, but it only confirmed what I already knew. It shows how utterly clueless Trump is about almost anything. What's worse, he really doesn't care very much about what the actual truth is about anything, only what he thinks he can successfully con the most underinformed and undereducated bigots into believing.

It has successfully worked for him in the past. His supporters will believe anything but the truth.

Yes, we need more leaders like Jimmy Carter, who I believe is one of the most unfairly underrated Presidents in history. He was hardworking, compassionate and, most of all, honest. I think that his honesty is what his political opponents resented and feared the most. Had it not been for the Iranian hostage situation and the fact that Iranian leadership was persuaded to hold on to the hostages until after Reagan became president, Carter might have been elected to and served an honorable second term.

The Thing We All Knew Finally Proved True: Reagan-Iran Edition

A recent report has confirmed the long-whispered rumor that Reagan did a deal with Iran to sink Carter's re-election.

You don't win elections when your money printing and environmentalist boondoggles lead to hyperflation. Only Jimmy Carter's policies lead to inflation as high as Bidenomics. Sadly the American people did not learn their lesson from Carterflation and as a consequence we're beginning the painful task of paying for Bidenflation. That being said, I'd agree that Jimmy Carter was a far better person than anyone in the Biden family. Jimmy Carter was just honestly mistaken in his political beliefs. But for the American people who voted for Biden in 2020, these mistakes and failure to judge based on historical experience was just willful ignorance and we'll all pay a hefty price for it.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Why do you insist on ignoring the fact that the inflation rate in our country was lower than that in the rest of the world during the Biden Administration and was declining faster than that in other leading countries of the world up to now. You had better brace yourself for the hyperinflation that will very likely result from Trump's tariff proposals and his goal of mass deportation, including a large portion of the farm workers who harvest a major proportion of the food we depend on. Leading economists almost unanimously agree that Trump's stated policies will inevitably lead to devasting increase in inflation rates. Trump still stupidly believes that the nations that export to us will pay the tariffs. Nonsense! It is the American consumers who will pay, as the importers pass on the cost of the tariffs to us all, their customers.
