Re: MLB WS Predictions
Congratulations to the Dodgers and Blue Jays for a great World Series matchup. It seems like the Blue Jays had the momentum, but the Dodgers held them and then passed them in the extra innings. Last night, listening to the fireworks in the Los Angeles area, it sounded like the 4th of July. Looking at X and searching "Dodgers," a person can see how emotional people get when they are so heavily invested in the outcome. It's an interesting lesson for me. Now on to 2026. First time to buy a small package: one seat
, Monk style.

4) Yada yada.

A big shout-out to the Dodgers organization for all the good they do in Los Angeles.
One member of their organization is Andrew Toles. I remember him playing left field a few years ago. That's a big area he needed to cover, and he had to do it quickly—and to play that position in Major League Baseball is a huge accomplishment. A big congratulations to him for that achievement, but there is another issue that developed after an injury.
He developed serious mental health issues—schizophrenia, a thought disorder that interferes with his ability from hour to hour, or even from moment to moment, to organize his thoughts as paranoia and hallucinations impair his mind—which has led to times of being homeless, being arrested for trespassing, and hospitalization.
It's likely that he had thoughts in his later teenage years but just could not talk about them or explain them, as so many times the illness interferes with communication. But to this day, the Dodgers organization continues to sign Mr. Toles to a minor league contract to ensure he keeps his medical benefits and receives the services he needs.
A big shout-out to the Dodgers for their assistance and to Mr. Toles for being Mr. Toles and the yoke he carries every day. Some people see a homeless guy; others see a hero.
