Is there A Breaking Point?
At the very end of Nixon's Presidency, right before he resigned, his approval rating was at 24%. Looking back on him, it's almost quaint that what he did and represented was enough to cause that fast of a fall. But still, there was about a quarter of Americans who approved of him. There were a quarter of Americans who still stood behind him.
The same data (Gallup) has Trump sitting at around 40% currently. Still a minority of Americans, but also well above his 34% approval rating the last time he destroyed the economy, platformed chaos and cruelty, made us internationally reviled among developed democracies, and debased the office of the Presidency.
This go-around, we have him engaging in a level of communism that is normally only an aspect of conservative fever dreams about Democrats (i.e. his making the US Government a stakeholder in a corporation). He's implemented one of the largest tax increases in modern history (again, something that conservatives pretend to fear Democrats will do), and now he's advocating that the funds from his taxation without representation be used for socialist wealth redistribution to middle and lower-class Americans. He's openly engaged in levels of bribery that are almost comic book levels, and make the unethical Clinton realty dealings seem Mr. Rogers-esque. His self-admitted vile sexual predation of women and children doesn't even seem to register for the people who previously believed the idiocy of Pizzagate. Emails written by an Italian-American Democrat, that reference pasta suddenly become evidence of a vast pedophile conspiracy, but emails written to and by a convicted sex offender specifically talking about bringing young girls from other countries that used to be supplied to Trump... well, that's really hard to parse. It could mean anything.
I keep wondering, where exactly is the breaking point with MAGA Republicans? If it isn't morals. If it isn't ethics. If it isn't economics. If it isn't ideology. If it isn't geopolitics. Where does the breaking point sit?
For the MAGA faithful here, is there anything you can conceive of that would ever make you abandon Trump, or is the Overton Window permanently affixed to casters now, to easily slide down further into the sewer with each increasingly bizarre, unethical, corrupt, vile, disgusting, brutish, and immoral thing he openly engages in? Is there really any identifiable ideology or ethos beyond the vapid battle cry of "liberals are bad," while cheering Trump on as he embraces leftist policies that make Democrats look like Rand Paul?

Days following Donald "Grab Them By The Pussy" Trump's disgusting misogynistic attacks and dehumanizing language towards two female journalists, he defended a journalist being butchered into pieces WHILE STILL ALIVE because "a lot of people didn't like the guy."
But hey, at least he doesn't call himself a Democrat, am I right? That'd be pretty gross.

Probably not for a certain percentage of the true MIGA crowd. However, there is a split in MAGA over the MIGA question and it is an opening for democrats, if they can throw off their corporate worship and actually serve the people. With MIGA republicans, it's a given that there isn't a breaking point. They are probably lost in their religious idiocy and their worship of a foreign country. That doesn't mean that the rest of us need to kowtow to the donor class that supports this worship. Have a true people's party that works for the people and not the 1% campaign donors. We could then start to clean up the mess here at home. I know those here don't like to admit that Trump is a result of not having a better alternative for the people that got duped by Trump, but that is the truth, and it's really the marginal people that voted for Trump this time that probably voted for Biden the last time. Bring them back home with a better alternative.
Also, maybe take a look at why 4 presidents since Epstein was caught, two R and two D (Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden and now Trump again) have run interference and have held onto the docs that show how we have been run by a tiny country in the middle east for many years. I think it should tell a lot for those interested.
A true people's party wouldn't spend the outrageous money on defense and intelligence and would undo the draconian laws like the patriot act and take back the bill of rights. There would be better roads here at home, perhaps better health care and college would be affordable, etc. etc. Currently the defense budget is almost $1 Trillion. Let's cut it in half. $500 Billion would go along way to correcting a lot of problems here at home. Also, how about not subsidizing the world? Certain countries have pensions and health care on our dime while we don't.
Sure, but it must just be Trump, right? These people are dumb and it's certainly not that the democrats can't come up with anything better than an alzheimer's patient or a drunk that can't put two words together.

Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

It might be cynicism on my part, but I don't think such a thing is possible in America anymore. I think that between the conditioning of America that the government is by default bad (some of which is undeniably justified belief), and the view that if the government tries to do something that benefits everyone, that's Marxist-Leninist (or whatever thought-terminating snarl words that are fashionable in the moment) -- any candidate that focuses on the people will inevitably get drowned by the investor class and those who allow their realities to be shaped by the billionaire owned media outlets.
The majority may not ever be able to regain the ability to only look in their neighbor's pantry to see if they have enough; forever cursed looking to see if they might have something they don't "deserve."
Crabs in the bucket. At one point, our diversity was our strength... now it seems that it just reinforces micro-tribes that don't so much care about themselves doing well, but that every other tribe does poorly.
Sorry... maybe it's the weather. Maybe it's seasonal effective disorder setting in. Maybe it's indigestion. But my hope machine seems to be running on empty.

Um, which countries have good pensions and health care because the US government is paying for it?
Please name them, and give evidence for your claim.

If you were smart you would focus on the issues that matter to the General Welfare of the country.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:54 pmDays follow Donald "Grab Them By The Pussy" Trump's disgusting misogynistic attacks and dehumanizing language towards two female journalists, he defended a journalist being butchered into pieces WHILE STILL ALIVE because "a lot of people didn't like the guy."

You are on this retarded rampage that Kamala is a drunk. Do you have any evidence for that or is it just another of your disgusting wet dreams you can't help but share with us?
