To compare, if the question is taken literally: Rittenhouse traveled 20 miles to inject himself into a protest. Good was killed just blocks from her home (I.e., her neighborhood).Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Sun Jan 11, 2026 5:47 amI'm confused: One of the criticisms leveled against Kyle Rittenhouse was that "he shouldn't have been there." Are the same people leveling the same criticism against Renee Good? If not, why not?
Beyond that, there are some significant differences here.
Rittenhouse was armed, and ended up killing someone.
Good was unarmed, and arguably attempting to evade someone who had pulled a gun.
In a way, Good’s shooter compares more closely to Rittenhouse than Good does. He was not a resident of the area, he inserted himself into a questionable position of potential conflict, he was armed, he fired when he probably should not have, and he killed someone.

Why did he circle the vehicle, argue with a passenger, then position himself forward of the vehicle and draw his weapon when an officer was still conversing with Good?
