ICE and its actions have been in the news quite a bit lately. In the process, I've learned that people are driving around obstructing their vehicles, blowing whistles and horns, physically getting in agents' way, etc.--and even coordinating these activities with each other via radio or cell phone.

Does anyone know why so many people are so hell-bent on preventing a law enforcement agency from doing its job? 'Cause I've never seen anything like it in my life.

Hey, we’re JAQing off over here! And furthermore, since we’re so fond of JAQing off, can anyone explain why the US got into a foreign conflict with an a peaceful Austrian painter who just wanted to make sure an oppressed folk were being protected from the barbaric Polish government?

Yes you have. Just not in America until now. And America has encouraged the citizens of many other countries to obstruct and rebel against the law enforcement agencies of their country. This is Trump encouraging the exact behaviour that you seem to be baffled by.

“Iranian Patriots, keep protesting – take over your institutions!!! … help is on its way,”

Which is the same as saying “American Patriots, keep protesting - take over your institutions!!!” Your President is all for people being hell-bent on rebelling against the law enforcement agencies of their country. There are other parallels…Germany (1930s) - Jews (and others) were labeled as dangerous, criminal, or corrosive to society. ICE today - Undocumented immigrants are often framed in political rhetoric as criminals or threats, even though most are not.

ICE is not Nazi Germany—but some of the warning signs that existed before the Holocaust are visible in modern immigration enforcement in America today. This kind of group-based suspicion is a real historical warning sign, and America in general is ignoring it, or writing it off as miscreants obstructing law enforcement.

It’s probably high time that you sent the Statue of Liberty back to France, as it is certainly no longer relevant.

What might be confusing you is the idea that ICE is a "law enforcement agency." A bunch of “F”-ups cosplaying soldiers without regard to due process is not a law enforcement agency, it's a damned criminal joke.

There are a good number of folks who are completely in favor of legal action against undocumented immigrants but who are simultaneously opposed to how the current Administration is conducting their campaign. That distaste has led to such crimes as blowing whistles.

The Obama Administration arguably deported as many undocumented immigrants as the Trump Administration is trending to do, yet the former didn’t seem to have to employ so much sloppy violence and death in order to achieve their goal.

Also, ask yourself why ICE is now in Maine, pushing the same overly aggressive tactics as they are in Minneapolis, yet we don’t see or hear anything about ICE running enforcement campaigns in certain states with 10 to 20 times the population of undocumented workers, like Florida or Texas?

The Administration using this as a partisan tool to divide Americans while extracting punishment on the President’s perceived political opponents - and the citizens of their states - is the problem… and now, it’s sometimes deadly.

ICE as Law enforcement agency is ignoring the rule of law to do its job.

They are entering homes without judicial warrants. They are interfering with citizens and natives in ways outside of their jurisdiction. They are sending people to third world prisons without trials.

RULE OF LAW. This administration is utilizing ICE to terrorize communities they don't like. That is what is occurring.
