When you contribute to the campaigns of democratic socialists and help cause the very problem you're fleeing from, you don't get to come to Florida until you repent of your politics and become a true conservative. The mere fact that he could move to Florida and vote Democrat is just wrong. But Democrats always vote for higher taxes so long as it's always someone else being taxed.

Schultz spent 44 years in Seattle, so he has fully participated in and paid into the system that he voted on. And he retired a few years back. What are you complaining about here?

Schultz is moving to Florida to escape the Seattle wealth tax. It's people like Res Ipsa who should be complaining that Schultz is unwilling to do his patriotic duty and pay his fair share. The reason I don't want Schultz in Florida is because he's still a Democrat whenever it happens to line his pockets.

Can you point to where in your article that Schultz states this tax that doesn’t yet exist as his reason for buying a $44 million residence in Florida? The not-yet-enacted tax in question applies to household income over $1 million and capital gains will be exempt. Schultz has retired.

Schultz - as a retired homeowner - will still pay Florida’s property tax, which is comparable to Washington’s.

Regardless of Schultz’s politics, I don’t think that you need to worry about anything. You’re not earning over $1 million per year, are you?

He still voted for the people who put the tax in place. He made his bed in Seattle, Washington. He should have to sleep in it. Until he repents of donating large sums of money to Democrats, he's not welcome in Florida. At the very least he shouldn't be allowed to vote Florida.

Noted; voters are responsible for every arguably stupid thing that a politician does. Perhaps MAGA should carefully consider this, and more than half of the country should send you a bill for our current excursion in the Middle East.

That said, do you believe that wealthier individuals might, on average, require greater infrastructure outlays to guarantee their property, resources and lifestyle? I think that a good argument can be made for that.

Tell us more about what really angers you about this tax, aside from the mere fact that ‘it’s a tax’.
