Protest=Terrorism

A few months back, I wrote about NSPM-7 and its potential to turn ordinary Americans into terrorists. The first look at what the government is going to do with it has happened: Nine people have been convicted in Texas for terrorism or materially aiding terrorism. They face 10-60 years in prison.
What did they do? Dressed alike. Used Signal. Possessed pamphlets. Moved a box of pamphlets. Removed someone from a discord server. All based on the testimony of a phony Antifa expert.
Safety teams regularly use Signal to organize for protests. De-escalators, Care Bears, and street medics often dress alike (using colored vests or armbands) to increase their visibility. If a bad actor dresses like a member of a safety team and shoots someone, the entire team faces decades in prison. The same with people passing out literature at a rally. The same with everyone involved with organizing a safety team.
This is what the regime has planned for protesters. Let’s hope the appellate courts remember the First Amendment.

And sadly it'll be a repeat of J6 and the exaggerated nonsense and overkill on charges and sentencing that your team did when your team gets back in power and slowly through this left/right nonsense of division, ALL of our rights will continually be eroded.
But, in anticipation of your answer, the left is amazing, correct, and the right is a bunch of terrorists, right?
No, it is the 1% that is causing division and wants us continually in war with the other while they profit and control us.
Time to see what is really going on and protest when your team is doing it to the other side like Trump and his oligarch controlled government is doing to their supposed enemies.

Defense attorneys will be challenging the verdicts (appeals would go to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit). Unfortunately, the 5th Circuit is widely considered the most conservative federal appellate court in the United States, by far. Chances are very good the guilty verdicts will be upheld.

In fairness to the prosecution (I can’t believe that I just typed that), didn’t at least one of these folks pop off a few shots from an ‘assault style’ weapon and hit a police officer in the neck?
That said, there is much about this trial, the sentencing decision, and the Government’s hyperbolic and ridiculous claims about the group and supposed connections to ‘Antifa’ that
does not bode well for anyone who values their Constitutional rights.

The demonstration was supposed to be a “noise” demonstration. One person brought and legally open carried an AR-15 style rifle. There was conflicting testimony. The guy said an officer drew on him. The officer wasn’t sure who drew first. But the protester shot the officer in the neck. No one knew he was going to shoot. There were no plans for violence. Some of the convicted defendants weren’t present. But they were prosecuted as a terrorist Antifa cell.
The shooting may well make this an easy case for those who hate the left. But the pattern of this DOJ is to press hard on the margins. The goal is to collectively punish all protesters if one commits some act of violence. The tool is a fake expert on a non-existent terrorist organization.
With all that’s going on daily. It’s easy to overlook this single prosecution. But I see it as one of the most serious threats to the freedom of American citizens yet.

You’ve got a fatal case of both siderism. Aside from the shooter, these folks were where they were legally entitled to be, doing what they were legally entitled to do, and not committing any violence. They didn’t beat the crap out of police, physically threaten anyone, vandalize offices or even take a dump on the Capitol rotunda. The two situations aren’t similar at all.
And, no, “my side” isn’t perfect and “their side isn’t evil.” That’s the lie you tell yourself to justify your pox on all houses. Whining about the left won’t save you if you get on the wrong side of Bondi’s DOJ.

The better way is to go to the peaceful protest of the NO KINGS marches throughout the United States and world wide this Saturday. It has enormously grown to over 3,500 groups throughout the nation. Rachel Maddow had a superb discussion of it on You Tube today.

Exactly. I actually made my video discussing this issue, among others, tonight on my news coverage of the War with Iran on my You Tube channel.

Both siderism? Love the new term. Although I'd call it anti-uniparty. The billionaire donors seem to want more and more authoritarianism and less freedom for us. Both parties raise fake issues in order to trample on the first amendment. We can't have those "right wingers" or the "anti semites" or the "progressives" being platformed. Both sides seem to want to shoot and jail the other side and posters here have foolishly raised the specter of home grown terrorists. It's all a control mechanism.
We should get together instead of the idiotic bickering the two party system fosters by design. We've been robbed over the last 50 years or so but the uni party wont reduce the defense budget and definitely wont do anything to cure the failed audits. We are continually at war. Trump gets bullied into launching another stupid war with Iran and the democrats wont do anything because they are controlled by the same people. So, both siderism? No, anti-uniparty.
