A very good article showing the silliness of Trump's legal team attempting to cause problems with counting ballots. Very enlightening how judges are not taken in by the stupidity of it all.

That seems to be happening across the board so far. Judges are dismissing the suits on account of lack of evidence. Apparently DJT's attorneys are throwing anything they can find at the wall and nothing is sticking because it's ludicrous to begin with.

And...this could probably be said a million times and probably already has, if the Democrats wanted to rig the election then Mitch McConnell and his ilk would be out on their asses. Why rig it for Biden without rigging the Senate?

People can't think.

There was one transcript that was professionally embarrassing to read. The lawyer representing the GOP was trying to use as evidence an affidavit of a person who claimed to have overheard someone else say something. It clearly fit the legal definition of hearsay, which is not evidence absent an applicable exception. The judge asked a simple question: why isn’t this evidence hearsay? The lawyer didn’t try to explain why it wasn’t or argue for one of the many exceptions. He just kept making a nonsensical argument that made it painfully obvious that the testimony was inadmissible hearsay. It painfully illustrated how bad these fraud claims really are.

According to opinion written by Scalia, attorneys who waste the courts time without evidence can be sanctioned.

Yes. See Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11 and its state counterparts. I haven’t seen it used yet.

As I have long expected, any cases of actually proven voter fraud found are more likely to have been committed by hard right Republicans than by Democrats, as was the case in previous elections. Even so, there is practically zero evidence that voter fraud was widespread enough to significantly affect the results.

To be fair, I have no idea whether these types of isolated instances are more common in one part or the other. However, in the face of a massive disinformation campaign accusing the deficits of election fraud, it’s easy to see how a person could justify this kind of fraud in his own mind.

BUSTED: Voter fraud ‘witness’ admits in court that his business partner is the Trump campaign’s lawyer.

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/11/busted ... ns-lawyer/

This Trump campaign attorney conceded in court on Thursday morning that he tried to enter hundreds of dodgy form-filed affidavits into evidence. “How is that a reliable process of gathering evidence?” the judge asked, later blocking admission of the so-called evidence.
