I'm so glad you liked it! You know when Lady Gaga hit the music scene, I didn't really pay any attention to her. I figured oh, another Madonna (whom I dislike profusely). How wrong I was! She's an exceptionally talented vocalist who can sing virtually any style of music and do justice to it. She's extraordinary and no autotune needed that is for sure! GS is not my favorite Stones song but she simply killed it in that video. Tiny girl, big voice, phenomenal stage presence!
I had similar opinions about her. Meat dress? Ok, pop star. Maybe it was after A Star is Born, maybe the Tony Bennett collaboration and tributes, but somewhere in there her voice got past the image for me, too. I don't listen to her music but if I see her singing on something I would like otherwise, I now expect it to be elevated by her. And Gimme Shelter just rocks. :)
Pop star. Exactly my reaction. That's why you don't see a single post here about Madonna. I was even pushing it to put NSYNC here but their cutting a record after 23 years is news and I think I also put Backstreet Boys on this thread. I didn't elect to go to an NSYNC concert, I had to chaperone if you will. I saw Hanson in concert and I do like them very much.

I didn't see A Star is Born but I have seen Gaga's collaborations with Tony Bennett and I've seen her sing with other artists as well. I am duly impressed by her.

I kind of think the meat dress thing was probably a stroke of PR genius on her part. As if to say, Ok world. Now that I've got your attention let me show you what I can do type thing.

Anyway, I find her extremely talented. She's one of a kind and next level.

If you like the that Bauhaus era indie vibe - “Soviet Soviet is a three-piece post-punk band based in Pesaro, Marche, Italy and formed back in 2008. The lineup consists of: Alessandro Constantini (vocals, guitar), Andrea Giometti (bass, vocals) and Alessandro Ferri(drums).”

So apparently Jagger showed up on SNL tonight (which is really last night as I'm writing this) but I can't find it anywhere yet.

Let's look at this old thing while we wait...just watch the first minute and 10 seconds of it. The rest is annoying.

This is SO flippin' fun! What a great show for the whole family! The chatter and jokes are so stinkin' funny. Still watching. He's currently doing an imitation of Jagger singing Start me up.

Peter Blair Denis Bernard Noone... (we memorized his full name back in the day). He crosses himself at the end of the show, takes a selfie (to send to his wife no doubt) and then stays after the show to sign autographs.

What a decent human!
