To those of you who believe the covid 19 virus to be a hoax, please continue your mosey. To those of you who believe the science as reported is accurate, but don't agree with the gov. imposed restrictions, here is my take on it.
Pretend I am in a category that has a %2 chance of dying if I catch the covid. That would correlate to having a 50 cylinder revolver with one bullet chambered, and playing a quick game of Trussian roulette. Of course those aren't the true odds as one has to figure in the odds of catching it in the first place.
So lets see. What are the odds of catching the covid:
Going to a Safeway in Eugene Or. with a face mask, - %5
Going to a Walmart in Texas without one, - %40
Getting a job at a meat packing plant in S. Dakota, - %90
So, lets pretend your revolver has 1000 cylinders and one bullet. How many would take that shot just for a little retail therapy at TJ Ross or IF Trautbi's (Imported Flotsam That Resembles Actual Useable Things, But Isn't)
Maybe someone on here with a big, uh, brain can help me out. What's the math,- %5 chance of catching it, %2 chance of dying when caught. How many cylinders in that revolver?

Ok then. I think I should get a ridicule exemption as I'm gonna have to do the math myself.
%5 chance of contracting the virus when stepping out in public = 1/20. %2 chance of dying if contracted =1/50. 20 x 50 = 1/1000. 1 bullet, 1000 cylinder revolver. Spin, point, squeeze. Every time right before you step out.

well, if we are going to throw logic and reason out the window, your post here is certainly doing it the best.
I like your revolver analogy but i think it goes more like this:
2% chance of dying is 1 bullet in 50 chamber revolver.
Now, what are the chances you even get a revolver?
For the record, i don't think the virus is a hoax, but the hysteria for another seasonal flu is questionable.
The more compelling discussion is for how a foreign made virus was weaponized and let loose on the population.
But why bother with that when there's "Truuuunmmmp!"
