This has just become despicable. He's now attacked her three nights straight and he's called her illiterate but then backhand compliments her for being at least smarter than her "dumb" husband. Whatever happened to respecting the office? Wasn't that their immediate refrain whenever anyone criticized Melania? Not even in the month of inauguration yet and this piece of human garage is going after the Biden's in the most despicable and hypocritical way. This pathetic smear outfit still pretends to be fair and balanced news?

He called her illiterate after supposedly getting a copy of her doctoral dissertation and scrutinizing every little thing, calling it a "national disgrace." Never mind that the current Florida lied about her academic credentials and is far less literate than Dr. Biden.

Also, Sebastian Gorka is a regular face at FOX and has been for years. He has a questionable doctorate in political science, yet he is always addressed as "Doctor Gorka" on their program. The Washington Post did a piece on this three years ago:

I disagree. Trump fans are consistently stupid, misinformed, lying, and hypocritical. You can set your watch by it.

I agree with the self-awareness part, though.

This Jill Biden story is an awesome example of how idiotic Trump fans are. Do we really believe a single one of them knows anything about Jill Biden's career? Absolutely not.

But Tucker Carlson says something, and all of a sudden the Trump drones claim she's incompetent.

Former First Lady Laura Bush was an school teacher with a masters degree. She later served as a librarian. As FLOTUS, Laura Bush was well respected by a majority of Americans, both Republicans and Democrats. (Her husband - not so much). Of course, her husband was a Republican.

Why would Carlson think it's a good idea to denigrate a former school teacher with a Ph.D., suggesting she is illiterate. Maybe politics does have something to do with it. Carlson himself comes across as an insecure and bigoted individual who came to his life's work through the military rather than academics - and has a severe case of Ph.D. envy. He would have been more credible had he said less about himself in his writings on the subject.

Why bring it up at all? Pretty confident that Dr. Henry Kissinger never delivered a baby. No one important seemed to mind his use of the title.

If its okay for a Secretary of State, it should be fine for FLOTUS.

I wonder if Tucker has ever seen Melania Trump's dissertation?

Dunno. But she's still teaching and intends to keep teaching during her husband's term in office.

Just a thought. Wouldn't Jill Biden have made a kick ass Secretary of Education? You know that's true.

I don't know. I'm not one to claim I know much about her career, one way or the other. She seems nice, in the incredibly superficial way I know her. I look forward to getting to know her better as FLOTUS.

I don't have any doubt, however, that she deserves her Dr. as much as anyone else who's earned that degree.
