Republican Logic on Denying Relief payments

I never understood how Republicans can whine about giving Americans money from the taxes they paid, all the while complaining that the government takes too much of our money. Seems like a simple remedy would be to give some of that money back.
Oh, but wait. They're concerned that some people may not need it! That was McConnell's argument on the Senate floor the other day, saying it was wrong to give $2,000 only to "rich friends" of the Democrats who don't need it. WTF?

I will take Republicans seriously on their "fiscal responsibility" as soon as they quit giving handouts to corporations.

In their minds it isn't a handout, it is merely letting them keep more of what they earn. Weird how that never applies to regular Americans.

They probably do rationalize their policies that way, but as we know from people like ajax, their minds are a fun house with distorted mirrors and droning calliope music that never stops. It's hard to see the world clearly while drowning in BS.
