... he said, "only you can handle your ballot, I'm forbidden by law from even touching it." So I got it to scan in the second try.
But as he was smiling when he said that, and winked at you, that’s when he confirmed that he was an operative within the vast Soros-Chavez Deep State Network, and then let you run the ballot through the compromised Dominion scanner a thousand more times, right?

I love that so much. Smart move, since I have the feeling some Trumpy crap is going to be headed to the the Supreme Court, and you’ll have a guy who is basically at the the Supreme Court level of professionalism interfacing with them effectively.

The insider baseball also suggest this is to give Ketanji Brown Jackson his seat on the DC circuit and signal she is the frontrunner for Breyer's seat so he can retire in peace.

I'm with you, I like the move a lot.

Hrm. Smart.

PS - President Trump has disrespected the American voters, has dishonored the election system and has disgraced the office of the presidency. I’m confident we’ll proceed as the Constitution demands and tell our supporters the truth, whether or not they want to hear it. - Sen. Romney

When it comes to elections or sports, I play a little game in my head. If I really want someone to win, I play down their chances. There were a lot of good reasons to do that in Georgia, traditionally a very red state.

The GOP knew what was on the line in Georgia. The Democrats were not going to sneak up on them or catch them unawares. Everyone knew these two elections were for all the marbles. And given the current political structure in the state, the home field advantage defintely went to the GOP. Sometimes Democrats who vote in the general election will not show up for the runoff.

I went to bed last night thinking Ossof would lose. This morning, I still find myself tamping down my hopes. It still feels like it's not quite over.

In our country's history, the fulcrum of the balance of power rests in different places, like Florida in the 2000 election. This year it's Georgia. Part of the Republican dominance in Georgia was psychological. Ever since Sherman burned Atlanta and cut a swath of destruction to the coast, part of Georgia has burned with emnity towards blacks and northerners. Georgians may have lost the Confederacy, but after the Tilden-Hayes election of 1876, reconstruction was dead and whites regained control, literally with a vengeance.

Because of that the Democrats have suffered from (ironically) baby elephant syndrome.
the owner of the newborn elephant ties the animal to a tree or post with a strong chain, thus preventing the creature from escaping. As the elephant grows during the first few weeks, the chain that binds him is continually tested by the elephant in his attempts to free himself, but as a baby, his efforts are just no match for the chain. As the elephant continues to grow, his attempts to break free of his confinement become less and less frequent as he learns that his might and muscle are no match for the hardiness of the restraint, so confined he stays. Soon after, the elephant simply gives up any attempts to free himself, and thus seemingly is relegated to a life of capture, believing that his strength will never provide the effort necessary to overcome his restraints.
One of the last barriers to a Democratic victory was simply to believe it was possible. If you can make people believe that victory is a real possibility, you can energize them, and change the dynamics of the situation for good. In the history of the 2020 election, the name of Stacy Abrams should be writ large. She made victory possible by making people believe in the possibility of victory.

Good for her! I think she came a long way towards overcoming or minimizing the very voter suppression without which she would probably have won the Georgia governorship two years ago.

Warnock looks to have locked it up. Ossoff has a ~17k lead.

How did (((they))) do it, guys?

- Doc
Trump campaigned for the losers, that is how they did it.

On any other day, people wouldn't be talking about anything else. What a freakin' day.

I remember on 9/11 predicting that people would remember the date Sept 11, not having any idea the event would actually be named after the date. I'm not sure about 1/6, but I don't think people will forget today for a very long time.
