Yes, I really think they should. They should vote on what happened today, and the Georgia SoS phone call. He should be impeached thrice.

It’s confusing as hell, Jersey Girl. The 25th gets mentioned a lot, but not actually analyzed. It’s hard to use against the President’s will.

Now, I have no idea how quickly an impeachment could be carried out. No way I’m getting into the arcana of House and Senate rules.

Sure seemed like a lot of folks in the Senate had a Come to Jesus moment today.

I certainly agree Schmo: I have not been this shocked since 9/11.

But 9/11 came relatively out of the blue, unless you read intelligence reports. We should have seen today coming for a while.

I'm going to make a comparison: Not so much of Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler, but of what happens to those who think they can control the mob. Like Trumpers, Nazis were used by others in a cynical ploy to ride the wave. I think a lot of Republicans dismissed his post election rhetoric because he was raising a lot of money for the party. Hidenburg and the wealthy German Industrialists thought they could control Hitler.

Today was Trump's beer hall putsch. He could do a show for OAN called My Struggle. Everything old is new again.

I don't know about anyone else but I haven't felt this hopeful or "settled" in 4 years. Maybe at the very beginning of the present term, but I always think things will work out and sanity will prevail--until it didn't. Until today, that is.

My wife and I were watching the Senate debate speeches tonight and then the news that Trump's Twitter account had been suspended, and we both kind of looked at each other with a knowing look. She says, "It kind of feels like this might really be over," as I was nodding. I don't know that it's over, but it feels like the end of something today.

I wonder if they'll address it tonight since it's after 1 a.m. out there right now? Plus they've been through all kinds of stress today but that would seem to make the matter all the more pressing.

I'm a little behind in the stream but I'm following as best as I can.

I think they should get some sleep first. They need to have clear heads to make decisions. As of tonight, the election process is complete. One last chance for Trump to get his crap together.
