Just wait until his supporters realize that his second impeachment means he won't be able to run again in 2024. The senate only needs a simple majority to disqualify him and they have that.

I believe this is true only if the Senate convicts first. That requires 2/3.

It might be for the best if they do come, start a war, and get their asses kicked, and not without a great deal of lives lost, which will almost certainly be 99% from their side.
Not only will that root out some of the top instigators, but it will give full license for a blue government to go all-in on gun control. And only something like a fledgling war will be enough for a red supreme court to let the new laws stand.
Prior to the events of a couple of days ago, I used to tell my right-wing friends that they are exaggerating when warning of Democrats doing a house-to-house gun round-up. Well, I don't see such a thing as happening still, but it's a slippery slope. If Trump's supporters (such as Ajax and subs) double down and really do try to start a war over this, the gun roundup proposition at the point will have increased from .1% (a week ago) to .9% (today) to 25%.

A brief study of history reveals that what Pelosi and Democrats are currently doing is tantamount to the Reichstag Fire Decree.

Excellent post! I expect the Capitol Police will not be turning down help from the National Guard or the offer of FBI agents this time. Parler and other sites and apps where these traitors are communicating on their plans are being carefully monitored and Police and other security forces are going to be ready for them.
