Republicans confidence in elections jumps 11% in one week

Republican Faith in Elections Ticks Up; Trump and Fox News Are the Most-Cited Sources for Election Fraud Theories

A jump of 11% in Republican confidence that elections were free and fair - in just one week.

55% of Republican voters who still believe there was widespread election fraud say they got their information from Trump. His disappearance from Twitter and the news cycles will no doubt see the fever fall even further as time goes by. And now there is a different President in the White House. The crazies may stay crazy, but for most people it seems the world is beginning to look different.

Republican trust in elections rebounds: 38 percent of GOP voters say they trust U.S. elections, up from 27 percent last week.

Confidence that the 2020 election was free and fair hits a high point: 65 percent of voters say the election was free and fair, including 91 percent of Democrats and 36 percent of Republicans.

A majority of Republicans believe there was widespread fraud. Those voters were most likely to cite information from Trump and Fox News as the basis for that view: 55 percent of Republicans who believe there was widespread fraud say Trump is one of the sources that lead them to that conclusion, and 45 percent say the same about Fox News — more than any of the other 15 sources tested.

Few voters of either party say violence is ever appropriate: 14 percent of Democrats and 11 percent of Republicans agree that violence is “appropriate when citizens believe something is wrong with their government.”

A majority of Republicans support Trump’s decision to concede: 60 percent of Republicans say they support this decision, up 4 points from last week.

Democrats are more motivated to vote in future elections based on the outcome of this election: 53 percent of Democrats say they are more motivated, compared to 36 percent of Republicans. Republicans are also three times more likely than Democrats to say they are less motivated, 15 percent compared to 5 percent.

While there's work to do that's good news at least.

Amazing what a flip of the circuit breaker will do.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

This reminds me of a story I heard a few months ago about a dude who was fully in the Trump cult but fell sick and was forced to detach from all social media. According to his relatives, just by stepping away from the constant BS, he could start to accept other bits of information and before long, was wondering why he ever followed Trump in the first place. It's got to be similar to realizing Joe Smith was full of crap too.

When the BS is thick and you've been stuck in it for a long time, you'll never notice the smell until you wash it off.
