Hi Lemmie, nice to see you too! I don't mind at all! Lyra is fantastic. She turned 8 months on Jan 17th and weighed 19.1 lbs. She can hold a sitting position, say "dada," and is starting to army crawl. I post monthly pictures of her on Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/WeightedGlory) if you want to take a peek.
So far our household remains COVID-free. How have you been?

Congrats! So glad to hear Lyra is doing well. We're okay here, but still severely isolated. That part is getting old. And now, it's too cold to eat outside, which is really what saved us all summer and fall.MsJack wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 7:16 pmHi Lemmie, nice to see you too! I don't mind at all! Lyra is fantastic. Ms. Jack
There is no way I read your post correctly.... did you say your lil girl is 9 months already?! Wasn't she just born like, say, last week? Man time is flyin! Good to hear all is well, so far we also have remained Covid free, though the isolation is work. We get a lot of reading done, so there is that. I am reading the Zohar and finding it was as good as the first time I looked into a few years back. I suspect reading is what's keeping the sanity flowing for now......

Yup, Kerry, you heard right! She will be 9 months in mid-February. Hell, wasn't I like 9 months old when you first met me?
Time is flying! I'm glad you are safe!
I mentioned this in Spirit Paradise, but I am getting the first dose of the Moderna vaccine tomorrow at 9 AM CST. I fall in Illinois' priority group 1B due to work. I'll report any side effects in Spirit Paradise.

Here's Ms. Lyra being coy tonight, having ruined the laundry I was folding. I was sorting out the stuff that's too small for her:

She looks like a happy, happy child, living a happy, happy life. What more could one hope for?! Best wishes.

Re: When anonymous prophecies fail
While kids are small the time seems endless but then afterwards it seems so short. Maybe that’s some endless now stuff. It may be worth making a point of playing some particular little kid games with Lyra just to lay up the memories. I once played fetch with our Marion when she had just gotten good at walking, tossing rolled socks into the next room for her to retrieve. It was bizarre enough that it stuck in my mind. I’ve always been glad it did.
I was a teenager before it was cool.

Re: When anonymous prophecies fail
Dear MsJack,
MsLyra has retained our firm as her public relations consultancy and agent for her business activities as an internet influencer.
She wishes us to point out that her intention was to assist you in folding the laundry, and that your remarks about her having 'ruined the laundry' are seriously defamatory and may already have been of grave financial prejudice to her. If her activities were less helpful than she intended, that can only have been due to you failing to provide her with the appropriate training in laundry folding techniques prior to placing her in the situation in which she found herself.
Our client demands, as a minimum, that you should issue a full retraction of your defamatory remarks, and undertake that in future you will make no more statements relating to her performance as a baby without clearing them with us, as her agents. Otherwise she will be forced to pursue the legal remedies available to her.
Yours,
(for and behalf of) Sue, Grabbit and Runn, attorneys at law.
