McConnell's Empty Threat

Post by Gunnar »

Mitch McConnell Threatens to Obstruct If He Isn't Allowed to Obstruct.

How ridiculous can he get? How is that supposed to frighten Biden and his administration? In other words, if Democrats raise any objections to what he is already doing, he will punish them by continuing to do it!
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

McConnell may be without ethics, morals or honor, but he is not stupid. And studies show that liberals have an approximate (and statistically significant) 6 to11 point IQ advantage over conservatives. So McConnell's silly threats are not for Biden, or Pelosi, or the Democrats.

McConnell's threats are Kabuki theatre for the rubes - far right Republicans for whom being a victim is a much a part of their religious faith as it is their politics. McConnell needs to appear to be doing the best he can to fight against the tyranny of intelligence, so that when sanity returns to the Senate, he can be seen as a victim too - along with his constituents.

It sounds like an empty threat to me as well. McConnell has no real power anymore and even less credibility or support amongst economic nationalists and working class Republican voters.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Senator McConnell was instrumental in getting three conservative Justices on the Supreme Court. But right-wing media doesn't like McConnell anymore mainly because he accepted Biden as President-elect after the Electoral College voted in December, and he didn't promote the big lie from the 2020 election.

Just like establishment Democrats, McConnel has been brought and paid for by Wall Street. They have one objective which is to grow stocks and help the globalist oligarchs cement their control of the market by finding the cheapest labor either by shipping American manufacturing jobs to China or encouraging mass and illegal immigration to depress wages. This is why working class Republicans do not like McConnell. This was decided back in 2016 when McConnel and Paul Ryan could have done something to avoid the current border crisis. But cheap labor for cronie capitalists was more important than higher wages for the working class.

Or one can run for President and do this directly, for the benefit of themselves and their own family, as Trump did with his businesses.

But, you’d vote for him again in a second, so this problem doesn’t actually matter to you.

Good point. A parade of these goose-steppers would march by the McConnell viewing stands without offering a salute. You yearn for the days of the new Confederate Reich when Emperor Trump will cleanse the vassal states of impurities.

One thing I give the Democrats credit for is being organized and voting the party line. I remember McCain voting to keep Obamacare. In contrast the Democrats have voted these atrocious inflation producing spending bills without any bipartisan support.

I find that funny given that when reading your leftist newspapers they talk about Trump's brand and fortune being destroyed. Contrast that with how wealthy the office has made Obama or Clinton.
But, you’d vote for him again in a second, so this problem doesn’t actually matter to you.
I'd do a lot more than vote for Trump. We're going to have a voice again on social media and break Zuckerberg's stranglehold on political speech.
