He was a shameful man and that spat at the the US flag and defied the law and the Constitution. John Taylor will always be remembered as a criminal who ran from the law!

Explanations of the facsimiles other than those provided by the Prophet Joseph Smith, which are printed with the facsimiles in the Pearl of Great Price, are tentative and subject to revision by additional revelation and insight from modern prophets.

Absolutely false! The Church is lying. Figures 3, 7, and 8 are Egyptian pagan spells that include iconographic images of Egyptian gods manifesting themselves through cult rituals known only to the Egyptians and their pantheon. Figure 7 includes a god with an erect penis which is something the manual fails to mention! Why? The Church shamefully misrepresents sacred Egyptian art and religion.

Oliver Cowdery wanted Smith to provide a final detailed account for how the Book of Mormon was translated but Smith refused, choosing to only say it was done through the gift and power of God.

I think Smith would be just fine with all this.

The Book of Abraham was NOT translated from Egyptian papyrus. Nothing was translated from the papyrus! The whole work in itself was a fraudulent scheme devised by Smith to deceive Mormons in Kirtland. He made the whole thing up and did NOT translate a single Egyptian character or word. The word translate cannot be attributed to Joseph Smith's proven fraud. He did NOT translate Egyptian into English. What he did to the Egyptian papyrus was atrocious and immoral.
