Wow, Will, I really liked that! A lot! I recall my May of 1993 -- nutso year for me. I think it's always wise to second guess the temptations of strange waitresses/waiters. ;)

Ren, thanks for posting those! The Once Your Mind's Made Up is perfect for this board, no doubt.

(Here's the post that I accidentally added to the Grammar Lesson thread! Jeez. I do the goofiest things sometimes!)

Here's a song and video I like a lot. It's Closer, by the Scottish band, Travis:

Here's some more WINK goodness:

Here is the extended version of "One Night in Heaven" with an entirely new video. It shows them driving around the suburbs of L.A. at one point.

(Here is their entry in Wikipedia.org.)

What the heck. I may as well tell you that both members of Wink went on to have solo careers. I can't find any material from Sachiko, but YouTube has three videos of Shoko's stuff:

L'amour est bleu This song features Shoko singing entirely in French. It's overlaid on a "behind-the-scenes" video of the making of a pictorial book that Shoko did with Kaori Iida, a member of "Morning Musume," a group that became hugely popular a little less than five years after Wink disbanded. For some reason, this song gets me all weepy. I know I've heard the melody before, but I can't place it for the life of me. Can anyone identify it?

Love A sweet, slow love song featuring lots of photos from Shoko's pictorial book. This, too, gets me a little weepy inside.

Paris, Je t'aime Here's an outdoor arena performance wherein Shoko, once again, sings entirely in French.

L'amour est blue was a popular song on the radio in the late 60's at least in Canada.

I haven't listened to your youtube version but it was quite a sexy song..with lots of heavy breathing going on in the background...at least from what I remember.

I just looked into it the sexy song I was thinking of is this one.. Je T'aime.

I think that song was also around the same time in Canada...

I'm afraid that song and the Wink song are wholly unrelated.

Can anyone else help me out?
