Brigham is wearing it!

I note that although I have seen this in several different pictures of BY, it seems to be routinely removed from official COJCOLDS images

No wonder he grew a beard.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Why couldn't it be a seer stone? Would that be an unreasonable symbol?

How about Nephi holding Laban's sword in his left hand and with Laban's severed head held in his out stretched right arm? And of course with dripping blood and all.

It could be put into one of those motivational pictures with the captions, like inspiration, courage, bravery etc.

This one could be

Blood Atonement obedience to God.

Sounds like a candidate for one of those "images of the restoration" illustrations, although it would be best as one of those muscular Arnold Friberg paintings in the Book of Mormon.

No that it would matter one way or the other, but doesn't that make it possible to have been added to the original for antiMormon propaganda purposes too?

That would really make Primary more exciting, the day they hand all those kids between the ages of five and twelve their official replicas. : )

If Mormons are "Christian" like they claim to be, then why wouldn't they use the cross as their symbol as well?
