THe Mormon church is a church of order. If black men could not go through the temple, then why should black women be allowed to? It would not be fair or just. That's what is so miraculous and marvelous about it all.

That which was not righteously performed is not binding.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Couldn't the Brethren simply upgrade her status from Joseph's servant to one of his Celestial wives?

As far as I know, there is an absolute limit at 99 or 100 wives.

Solomon hadn't such limit. Is he a positive exemplar or isn't he?
