If you want to make a case against religion that works for theists, you don't want to simply hunt down the kookiest of kooks and then try to represent them as the norm ... that Maher and (some) other atheists swallow it all whole without the slightest hint of critical thought, just damages their credibility when attacking religious people for "believing without evidence."
