Shades,

that's Zooey Deschanel. She was great in Elf. I wish she and Will Ferrel would just go ahead and cut a real track to put on the next "Now that's what I call Christmas" compilation.

Yeah, she has a very nice voice and I loved that shower scene in Elf.

Here's a song I love by "Travis."

Well I believe there's someone watching over you
They're watching every single thing you say
And when you die
They'll set you down and take you through
You'll realize one day
That the grass is always greener on the other side
The neighbor’s got a new car that you wanna drive
And when time is running out you wanna stay alive
We all live under the same sky
We all will live, we all will die
There is no wrong, there is no right
The circle only has one side
We all try hard to live our lives in harmony
For fear of falling swiftly overboard
But life is both a major and minor key
Just open up the chord
But the grass is always greener on the other side
The neighbor’s got a new car that you wanna drive
And when time is running out you wanna stay alive
We all live under the same sky
We all will live, we all will die
There is no wrong, there is no right
The circle only has one side

Get out! Don't look at me!

And don't miss Bad Elf if you want to hear the R-rated version of "Elf".

I had a friend make me a few CDs of Jamie Cullum's music. One day my kids were playing with the stereo while I was in the laundry room and I could hear them laughing hysterically while they kept repeating the song "I get a kick out of you." (they were ages 6, 5, and 3 at the time)
When I came out, this is the lyric they had been singing and cracking up over:

"I get no kick from champagne
Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all
So tell me why should it be true
That I get a kick out of you
Some get their kicks from cocaine
I'm sure that if I took even one sniff
That would bore me terrifically too"

They didn't understand what the word meant, but laughed at the way he sang it and wouldn't stop repeating "cocaine." Of course after I had taught the kids why they shouldn't repeat those lyrics, then it became even more of a temptation.
So I had a little explaining to do that night to my TBM hubbie.

I could only find the LIVE version on youtube.

Rock Band Guitar Expert style. Looks difficult (I've never played the game).
Foreplay/Longtime - Boston
Feelin' Satisfied - Boston

Bonus tracks:

Magic Power - Triumph
Feel It Again - Honeymoon Suite

Good versions of Honeymoon Suite are hard to find on youtube. Sounds much better on Rhapsody.
