Two thirds of Mormons say they voted for Trump

Post by IHAQ »

After months of pre-election polling that showed Trump with markedly less support among Latter-day Saint women than men, women rallied around him in almost equal measure in the end.

Some 65% of Latter-day Saint women voted for Trump, compared to 66% of men.

Gross. Pretty damning indictment of the LDS Church.

For once I agree with Kish.
It's hard to imagine a more damning indicator of LDS religious delusion and the resulting belief system.

Well I didn't.

Trump repeatedly mocked the Saints, according to reports.

And, the Deseret News repeatedly came out against him; most recently a couple of months ago publishing an opinion by the Church's constitutional lawyer who teaches at BYU law.

I find the vocal Facebook supporters of Trump these days, who are members of my stake, are decent people who have absurd and moronic and discriminatory political philosopies, but they have a lot of company. Trump is also not a true conservative. I was shocked to learn that the GOP did not publish a platform this year, and instead said it adopted Trump's positions.

This picture of Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles Mason, and Donald Trump is quite compelling in a sinister way.

This confirms my suspicion that, for many members of the church, their REAL first religion is U.S.-focused "conservatism;" the actual teachings of the church are clearly secondary in their lives.

It is not conservativism. It is national socialism.

It is not conservativism. It is national socialism. Conservatives don't argue for the elimination of free markets, free trade and for protectionism.
