Gerrit Gong misleads single people at Conference

Post by IHAQ »

In his talk about there being "Room in the inn" Gong said the following:
Also, the majority of adult Church members are now unmarried, widowed, or divorced. This is a significant change. It includes more than half our Relief Society sisters and more than half our adult priesthood brothers. This demographic pattern has been the case in the worldwide Church since 1992 and in the Church in the United States and Canada since 2019.

Our standing before the Lord and in His Church is not a matter of our marital status but of our becoming faithful and valiant disciples of Jesus Christ.

Gong is wrong. He clearly doesn't know the requirements for exaltation.
Gospel Principles Chapter 47 "Exaltation"
To be exalted, we first must place our faith in Jesus Christ and then endure in that faith to the end of our lives. Our faith in Him must be such that we repent of our sins and obey His commandments.
He commands us all to receive certain ordinances:
We must be baptized.
We must receive the laying on of hands to be confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Brethren must receive the Melchizedek Priesthood and magnify their callings in the priesthood.
We must receive the temple endowment.
We must be married for eternity, either in this life or in the next.

So our standing before the Lord is a matter of our marital status. If you don't get married, you don't get in to the Celestial Kingdom.

Good Lord, the amount of derpy and contradictory things taught from the pulpit never cease to amaze me. If only they cracked a Church History book or two they might get some basic facts right.

What do you make of the local newspaper, the Painesville Telegraph, publishing their article on the 21st, and then four days later Joseph Smith had his revelation?

Doctrinally, you can get into the Celestial Kingdom as a single person having never married. But you will go in as a servant in one of the lower orders within the Celestial Kingdom and participate in celestial glory but will not be exalted among the gods in the highest degree of celestial glory. You get to be a servant but not a god.

The whole thing is just silly and ridiculous. Mormonism's 3 degrees of glory is just as stupid as Christianity's heaven & hell. It's all about trying to scare you into doing what you're told or else. It's all about punishment and reward. Typical religious BS.

If you've been divorced even if it was no fault of your own, you cannot serve as a sealer in the temple! Period. Also, you can't be an apostle or prophet holding sealing power. The Lord will not call a man in his Church to be the prophet if he's been divorced. The Lord doesn't care why, you won't get called, period.

Folks, Mormonism is an evil cult. Mormonism constantly lies through its mouth. It's a slithering snake with a forked tongue -- a devil in disguise.

Gong is a liar.

And don't forget your new heavenly name will be given you, it will be "Shulem," just like the servant in Facsimile 3. See how well it all fits together! Others who are allowed in, but have not been as valiant will receive a lesser name of "Anubis" and be in a lower glory of servitude than the highest celestial anointed Shulems of Heaven.

Hold on there, Gong! What about penis size? Does marital status in the celestial kingdom effect penis size for the males who enter celestial glory? We hear a lot about the TK smoothie from Doctor Scratch (bless his smoothness) but what about the celestial men who failed to get married but enter into the joy of the Lord and get a celestial resurrection? What about their penises? How does Heavenly Father determine penis size and what can one do with their glorified resurrected celestial penis?

So many questions and so few answers from the Church. What say ye, Gong-boy? What about our penises?

Philo,

I guess I'm stuck with the name Shulem and it's not even an Egyptian name. You get Olimlah and it's not an Egyptian name either. And, there is no Egyptian King's name in Facsimile No. 3, nor is there a prince on hand, and that's not the vile Asiatic Abraham sitting on Osiris's heavenly throne. Joe Blow Smith got nothing right at all. Not a single thing! Nibley must be rolling in his grave.

When Gong-boy grows up he wants to be just like HInckley and lie for the Lord.

Never been divorced

Post by Shulem »

We've never been divorced, not even once!

We hold the sealing power.

Our standing before the Lord and in His Church *IS* a matter of our marital status.

Divorced men cannot hold the sealing power in this Church, period.
