I thought it was 17 years later. Now it's 20?

Yeah, I've been through all that. It's nothing but a distraction and smoke and mirrors. And poor, poor, pitiful Rhodes, never could read the King's name in Facsimile No. 3.

:D

Philo, what's up with that? What's the King's name?

Does anyone in MORMONDOM know the King's name? Nope. Nobody knows the King's name.

Tamis Mekis provided me with a list of museums with holdings of hypocephali in various states of preservation.

To reply to your last email. Great museums have their online database and thus their hypocephali are available for research.
The Louvre: https://carteles.louvre.fr/en/recherche ... C3%A9phale
Petrie Museum. London: https://petriecat.museums.ucl.ac.uk/brief.aspx

If translated correctly, this could prove Paul was either the walrus or the King!

A link to LDS Egypologist Michael Rhodes' paper on facsimile 2. Written a long time ago which he told me "For the hypocephalus questions I have attached a paper I wrote 27 years ago. The points it makes are still valid."

For a different viewpoint see Mekis
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fc7 ... t3DDc/edit

Rhodes writes on figure 3 "3. A hawk-headed god Re with the sun disk on his head, seated on the solar bark. On either side of him is a Wedjat-eye. In his hand he holds the was-scepter, symbol of dominion,54 and in front of him is an altar with a lotus blossom on it. "

In the sketch of Fac 2 this area was damage and missing.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ewn ... qSXCI/edit

It seems to have been filled in with a scene from another piece of Joseph Smith papyri
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-87 ... Dge0E/edit
Look down the bottom right corner.

This from the examples in the various collections is what supposed to belong there
"On the viewers right side a bark can be seen with Isis and Nephthys adoring a lying scarab depicted above the cabin...The idea of the united image is about the renewal of the sun-god. Isis and Nephthys are possibly adoring in front of the mound-like caib while the scarab reminds us the reborn from of the sun-god. The adoration by the two godesses in from of Knepri is a wordplay on the word "morning" which is expressed by the scene ab icon of East" p.271 Tamis Mekis

Have you seen any hypocephalus where Nehebka is a "bird" Because the facsimile was damage there Smith would have only seen the top of the figure hence calling it like a "dove"
Rhodes .7. A seated ithyphallic god with a hawk's tail, holding aloft a flail. This is a form of Min, the god of the regenerative, procreative forces of nature, perhaps combined with Horus, as the hawk's tail would seem to indicate.75 Before the god is what appears to be a bird presenting him with a Wedjat-eye, the symbol of all good gifts.76 In other hypocephali it can also be an ape, a snake, or a hawk-headed snake that is presenting the eye. This figure represents Nehebka, a snake god and one of the judges of the dead in the 125th chapter of the Book of the Dead.77 Nehebka was considered to be a provider of life and nourishment78 and as such was often shown presenting a pair of jars or a Wedjat-eye. As for the bird found in Facsimile 2, this could symbolize the Ba or soul (which the Egyptians often represented as a bird) presenting the Wedjat-eye to the seated god."

Nope, I've not seen that. I can't even imagine it.

Smith was wrong to interpret the remaining upper portion of the serpent's body a "dove".

Rhodes wrote:Before the god is what appears to be a bird presenting him with a Wedjat-eye, the symbol of all good gifts.

Rhode's apologetic sentence is crafted to allude to the idea or suggestion that something APPEARS to be bird. Or in other words, to an untrained and ignorant eye, such as Joseph Smith's, it could appear to be a bird, BUT, in reality and actuality it is NOT. It might just appear like it, much like a cloud in a sky could appear in the shape of a dragon.

Rhodes wrote:As for the bird found in Facsimile 2, this could symbolize the Ba or soul

Rhodes is a GODDAMN liar and a pervert. No, that is not a bird! It is a snake, period. It NEVER symbolized the Ba or a soul of a dead person. It is an Egyptian god, period.

Rhodes perverts Egyptology in order to defend Smith's corrupt ideas.
