But what do you make of the fact that Will was given access to the KEP materials?
Will has a testimony and an apologetic agenda in the interests of the church. Apparently that is all that's needed to gain access nowadays.
And what about the fact that Will delivered Gee's presentation for Gee at the most recent FAIR Conference?
Will was lined up to give his presentation after Gee's, and Gee missed the conference due to some unexpected circumstance, so it was a natural choice to have Will give it in his stead. Besides, all he did was read what Gee prepared. Any monkey could have done that. But Will's subsequent denunciation of Gee's presentation, probably doesn't place Will in his good graces at this moment (quick Will, go kiss up to Gee now).

Lol. Interesting. Do you think Will was lying about being "mentored" (or whatever) by Skousen?

For the sheer fun of it, I say Royal Skousen, although I would think his role is probably more that of a mentor than a benefactor. Skousen is the guy who seems to have taken the most active role in guiding Will, and the two have "hung out" to watch movies, and so forth. The report I heard about FAIR was that Skousen was giving Will some tips about his presentation.
While it is possible that Will has fabricated some elements of his buddy relationship with Skousen, other aspects seem to me to be beyond dispute. And, if there were someone in the group of names you provided who would not be put off by Will's lunacy, it would have to be a Skousen. Will probably looks pretty run of the mill to a member of that family. This is not to imply anything about Royal Skousen's thinking, but only to say that he would not likely be fazed by the fact that Will is, shall we say, something of a character.

Here's a somewhat separate yet still very relevant question: To what extent do the junior-tier Mopologists and "unwashed masses" at MDD accept Will's claims about being "juiced in" at the MI? I.e., do LoaP and Bokovoy and Scott Lloyd and Greg Smith all believe that Will is "cozy" with the likes of Skousen and/or Midgley?

I would agree with that if it, did, indeed, stop there. The problem is that when he betrayed the confidential status of Trevor's article, that action crossed over cyber-space and became an in real life academic ethical breech. That, in my opinion, would place him in a "loose canon" status. And, although I doubt that Will would ever admit it, I would lay odds on the fact that Will was addressed privately about that.

I get the sense that at least some people among the apologists think that Will is a little off his rocker in how he puffs himself up and attacks others.

Some do, yes---e.g., LoaP and Bokovoy. But in those same threads, I noticed USU78 sashaying in to ask Will some "scholarly" question. So which way is the tide turning? Are the LoaPs and Bokovoys the "rogue" element, or do they represent the majority opinion?

Maybe I should write a paper on why a loose approach is actually safer for the church than a methodical, detail-oriented one.

USU78 has slowly lost his grip on reality. I think he is about on par with Pahoran, Will, and the other "red meat" slam artists of Mopologetics. They don't really argue issues so much as avoid them and stick it to the opposition through insults and smears.

I thought you were his reptilian doppelganger.
No, but I play him on TV.
