The news was just FULL of pious reporters saying how God still answers prayers!!

I can't help but wonder how the parents of the first scout felt. God sure didn't answer the prayers for THAT scout, now did He?

Can the author of all this order of the universe and this world, order that unfolds as science, also be the author of randomness, of that which has no pattern?

The parents of the first Scout are probably happy knowing it was God's will to kill their son.

A god who would intervene to save some people and sit by and let others be tortured or killed or maimed is kinda cruel.

That is why I *hate* stories like this.

God probably needed him to be a missionary to the people in spirit prison.

Must a higher power not be cruel?

If a higher power wants me to worship it, it should be worthy of worship.

The Christian God is not worthy of my worship.

Dit Oh

If it is cruel it might as well be satan and we should all fight against it.

Well, this is a thread about Mormonism. We are discussing these stories within that framework.
