I used to live in inner city Memphis so perhaps my perspective is jaded but I wonder just what percent of murder cases are solved. I suspect the public has overestimated that number. But as you pointed out above, I still think it much better to let 100 guilty men go free than to convict an innocent man. We can't control everything. I'm not sure I'd want to be involved with that family though.

in a high profile case like oj's or mj's, a high profile jury is required to get a fair trial. if athletes, actors, politicians and other types of public figures were in those boxes the punishments would fit the crimes.

in casey anthony's trial it is possible the jury took into consideration the cost/benefits of the spot light.

if the motive of a jury is a factor in question, a new jury should be picked.

I heard that the IRS is going after her. Apparently she got money from some media and owes 70 thousand in taxes.

What I recall is that she got something like 200K for photographs and used that for her defense.

The media is going to be all over the place now. I saw an article on AOL this evening about Baez' bankruptcy and such. I've known this for months. Everybody and their (news) dog is going to be reporting on it and mis-reporting facts.

Will the sentencing be televised and will you watch it?

Yeah, the sentencing is supposed to be at nine this morning, and I intend to watch it unless something else comes up. I fully expect her to walk this morning.

Well, at least she's going back to jail for a while, although probably not long.

It just made me sick to hear all her lies again. I still believe she killed Caylee.

Among the many things that has blown my mind, as this has all played out, is that the "media" (for the most part) has been dead wrong about everyhing they have weighed in on. (The most recent being the many who spoke with great confidence that Casey would be home by the weeks end)

To be fair, I have also been completely wrong about everything as well.
