It was funny because all of a sudden all the leaders had beards. I was like "What the ...." until I found out what was going on. I guess the temple had to make a temporary exception to the no beards policy, as a few of the men were workers there. LOL!

Wait, there is a no beard policy at the temple? You can't get in if you have a beard?
Seriously?

You can't work there if you have a beard. You can participate in the celestial Masonry, however.

Besides, I like my parents and don't see any reason to piss them off. :-)

Don't get me wrong I do like my parents a lot. It's just now no matter what I do it would piss them off. I don't think I would wear a wife beater on purpose but it could happen sometime down the road. I would just happen to be wearing a wife beater that day. You know living a normal life. But seriously only Mormon parents would get upset over their son wearing a wife beater. I really doubt I would drink in front of my parents but who knows. If I did drink in front of them I would be living a normal life that way as well.

just me, I have been having a few drunken parties and they are pretty fun! The last drunken party I had one of my friends (the only tbm) ended up drunk naked in my guest shower puking! He just started drinking and hates the taste so he drank way to much at one time.

Oh, and my daughter likes it too.

Done deal. Next time I post a shirtless picture of me mowing the lawn on Sunday, I will have a beard. Get ready!

I guess my age is showing. I don't have a problem with my sons wearing sleeveless tee shirts. (Not my style and I don't like they way they look but not that big of a deal.) I do have a problem with the term wife beater being used to designate a certain type of shirt. This isn't a shot at you Rambo, I know that is how there are called by everyone. But for me words mean stuff and I find it sad that it is acceptable to wear a shirt with the name 'wife beater' regardless of the style of the shirt.

I don't wear crosses. I would like to wear a different emblem.

Wear a pentacle. I wore mine yesterday.

Zee, I keep meaning to try your Athena experiment. Once I do I'll let you know how it goes.

Several years ago I went on a Stake High Adventure trip with the YM with our Stake President, two other adults, and about 10 YM. During the 10 days of hiking through the beautiful Sangre De Christo Mountains of Northern New Mexico everyone grew some healthy facial hair, the 16, 17, and 18 year old boys included. At the end, everyone shaved down to a goatee and a group picture was taken to be given to a particularly stubborn member of the Stake Presidency who had declined the SP's council to shave his own off to be a good example of a PH leader. We even drew a goatee in marker on a YM who didn't grow any hair.

I heard later that the SP left the church over doctrinal issues. He seemed pretty NOMish while we were on the trip, looking back now.

Buff,

She is pretty busy so don't expect an answer on the first try. She also isn't perfect or infinite so you have to change your mindset a little. I found that if you lower your expectations, you will be much happier with the results. She will sort of just come when she feels like it. Usually, it is when you don't expect it. That sort of pulls the rug on the "try" part. Why try? Maybe just keep it in the back of your mind for a while. When something nice happens, think to yourself, "Hey, maybe that was her!" LOL, is this really very different from my old view?

But I did get a confirmation in the forest that one day when I actually tried, so I say yeah, go try it! The first thing you will notice is that she is much more kind than Heavenly Father. She holds no grudge against women, people of various ethnic backgrounds or even gay people. You can tell she has been through a lot though, living with that man-god for so many years.

I knew a "rocker" in high school that used to wear one of those. Do you listen to Metallica?
