If that is true than I think the water mixture would have happened fairly quickly.
I still wanna know how Noah got all that food and fresh water on the Ark...enough to last the year they were on it.
How much food and fresh water did he need?
How many animals did he have?
Each human would need 1/2 gallon of fresh water for drinking minimum per day. If they never washed their bodies or clothing or pots/pans the whole time I guess they could do without extra water. However, that seems pretty disgusting to me. I've always read that 1 gallon of water per day per human is what you actually need....so.
Were there 8 humans? They would need 4-8 gallons of fresh water per day. They were on the ark nearly one year. For just the humans they needed 1440-2880 gallons of water. If they captured water in the first 40 days of rain it would probably have gotten nasty by the end...they would have needed either a way of keeping it fresh (safe from contaminates) or a way to resupply. But, hey, it was the olden days so they were used to nasty stuff in their food and water.
Humans need a minimum of, what, 1200 calories per day to survive. Closer to 2000 would be ideal. Calories aren't all that is important, without a certain amount of protien, vitamins and minerals and stuff people will suffer from malnutrition, get sick and die. People did die young back then, HOWEVER Noah was an oddity. He lived to be very old. Therefore, he must have been very well nourished.
I'm also wondering if there was a wine cellar on baord since Noah was a wine bibber. We know he liked to get drunk. That would take strong wine or a lot of wine. I think it would be a few years before he could make new wine post-deluge so he must have been carrying a LOT of freaking wine as cargo.
If they had 2 elephants on board...one could look up how much those elephants would need.
Do that for every animal he had on board and you get the idea of what was needed.
