I believe if one is to take The Bible seriously, then literalism is the only choice that does it justice
Is the Revelation literal?

So what am I left to take away from this? Biblical literalists are not literally literalists?
:-)
It does make one wonder how this occurred. If one we're simply going to vote on what's in or not, then this should have been the first to go.I quite frankly, don't know how it ever made it into the canon.
probably has nothing to do with any church. But has a lot to do with being a human being.Pretty steamy stuff going on there that given Solomon's rep with the ladies, leads me to the conclusion that it has nothing to do with the church.
I recall many. Sorry for you about that. They were fun!!I can't recall a single Sunday School lesson on Songs. Can't imagine why.

I am not being "catty" when I ask questions. Sometimes I need to know what others think and believe before I can try to address what is being forwarded and so you might see me asking divergent questions which is exactly what I do as a teacher of children and adults.
So I am not being facetious, I am trying to find out where the beginning is and will try to follow the thinking from that point and forward.
I've run into a few posters who feel insulted when I explain my position. They criticize me because they think that I think I'm their teacher.
Quite the contrary is true. I think I can learn with them. If you understand that there is a difference, then you'll "get" me.
