One of the mods accuses my sainted and deceased mother of being unmarried when I was born and further calls her a dog.

Not really. The rude remark was to the effect that you were in Beastie's view such an unpleasant person that your wife must have found it a burden to have sexual relations with you in order to conceive your children.
That is an insult to you alone, for which Beastie quite rightly (in my view) apologized, and is in no way a reflection on any other member of your family, unless that is you think it is an insult to a woman to say that she might not enjoy having sexual relations with an unpleasant person.

I think Bob knows he is lying about Beastie. I think he has a lot of hate towards her.
